TeCory Couch Preseason All-ACC

He's flown under the radar for me this off-season but he was our best man corner last year. Him and Tyrique in the same backfield is a scary sight. If he can cut down on the flags and be more solid in terms of tackling and run support, he'll be more than deserving of 1st team.

I think you keep TeCory on the inside where he's more suited to play. Let Blades and Ivey battle for that outside spot. T-Rob is a bump and run specialist, better to have big long bodies like Blades and Ivey on the outside to handle those duties. Hopefully, Ivey turns his head this year and thus turns the corner with his play. Lol

Te'Cory "Chihuahua" Couch. He flashed a ton last year in some difficult spots. Him as our nickel or second/third best CB is where he might thrive.

I agree keeping Couch on the inside, but that still leaves us venerable to deep passes because Ivey and Blades aren't "real" fast. I am confident T-Rob and Van will get those boys right, Safeties will be elite, DL will apply pressure and Keontra, Chase and Jim Williams handle the RB and TE's.

you may be right. I guess it really depends on whether Ivey or Blades can really hold it down on the outside.

I'm not concerned about size when it comes to nickelback. Playing outside requires you to have some size because of the gazelles that play receiver nowadays. You prefer smaller shifty and faster guys to play the nickle spot.

Leave TeCory on the inside and let him eat. I think even if Ivey or Blades struggle, which I doubt will be the case, I like the idea of playing Isaiah Dunson in a bump and run system. His length and ball skills will pay off big-time.

I think every DB and every Safety will be more technically sound, more disciplined and they will all tackle better with the addition of TRob and DVD to the staff.

I think DJ Ivey will be All Conference this year thanks to being more technically sound and cleaning up his tackling. The size and the talent is there. Getting his head turned around is a game changer for him.

Blades can be stiff at times, his physicality would be welcomed at the slot but he's better off on the outside if you ask me.
