However, late FGs should never be what we needed to beat that garbage GT team. That's the issue.

Good coaches find ways to win. Bad coaches discover new ways to lose. Good coaches realize that they have to score TDs and the OC calls plays accordingly. Bad coaches put the game on the foot of a bad kicker. Good coaches center the ball so there is a slightly higher chance of a crappy kicker making it. Bad coaches make the kicker kick at an angle. Good coaches are up 3 TDs on a 1 win GT team so kicking is irrelevant. Bad coaches botch a 4th quarter chance and lose in OT.

On talent we should be winning by 3 scores. Instead we are losing to 1-5 trash teams.

It's not just about wins and losses. Remember a few years back under Golden when we were 7-0 but we were just eeking by inferior competition? Well in the end, it turned out we weren't very good. Same thing here. If we were 6-1 it would be deceiving. A good team doesn't look this bad against GT, VT, and CMU.

why is this hard to grasp. We could be undefeated with different kicker, but they shouldn’t be necessary with this schedule

Coaching is the biggest problem. Lineman are lost. Every facet of special teams is below average. The amount of penalties/lack of discipline is horrendous. QB is mismanaged, evals from spring were off at several positions. After the transfers start it won't matter what coaches we fire/hire in the off season we'll be set back another 2 years.
