Louisville - they scored 14 points in the first 10 minutes. Then, 10 points in the next 50 minutes. Beck tossed 4 INTs. That's it. Just the combo of those two things, Miami's defense being not-completely-ready for Louisville's first-quarter scripted offensive wrinkles, and Beck's mistakes costing us 4 scoring drives, including the final drive of 54 yards that was about to yield either the winning TD or the game-tying FG.
SMU - Beck tossed 2 INTs, including one in OT. But it was an OT game.
We scored 21 against Louisville and 20 against SMU. Our two lowest-scoring games of the regular season, in games not involving aTm, massive winds, and a post-season game.
If anyone thinks we will be held to 21 points or less against Ole **** on a neutral field, they need to explain WHY. Since the SMU game, Carson Beck has thrown ONE INT across six games.
As for OUR defense, it has been fearsome since the SMU game. We have given up 10, 7, 17, 7, 3, and 14 points in the last 6 games, half of which were against ranked teams (including two CFP teams). That is an average of 9.67 points per game across 6 games.
So if I were to guess, I'd say that 24-10 or 28-17 would be two of the more likely winning margins that Miami will post against Ole Miss.
