I can't believe all of the porsters on this board that are still defending Dorito and Golden's defense. It's so frustrating to be a Canes fan and have to deal with all of you idiots, that even when faced with facts and statistical data (along with the play on the field), still follow these guys like the rats followed the pied piper. We all know what happened to the rats.
You guys have some balls of steel to criticize those of us who have been patient, watching this train wreck of a defense for 3 years. We have finally had enough, but are being called "soft shouldered, pussies, and other stuff. The only soft shouldered punks on this site are the slurpers who fail to see reality.
When both the numbers and the video shows what we all are seeing, then there is DEFINITELY a major problem with our scheme. We all know that our talent level isn't where it should be, but how can any of you honestly say that we should be this bad. It is RIDICULOUS, LUDICROUS and ASININE to make excuses for this level of incompetence on the defensive side of the ball.
Since when did it become okay to accept this at the U? Don't give me the B.S. about "it's only year 3." This D is getting worse every year. I'll say it again for those who called me a "porster and a "troll" a couple of weeks ago when I mildly suggested that we needed to go back to playing an aggressive style of D. These guys want to be let loose to hunt. You can't take alpha males like McCord, AQM, Perryman, Burns, Howard, Chickillo and castrate them. This is essentially what Al and coach D have done.
These kids are playing D with very little passion and it shows. I can't blame them. They are being told to go against everything that they have been taught all of their football lives, which is, "kill the man with the ball." Our current scheme is, "I hope they only break their foot off in our asses for 450 yards and 35 points instead of nearly 500 plus and 45 every week."
I hope Al is smart enough and humble enough to realize that it's time to man up and make a change for the good of the program. If not, it's gonna lead to his demise. I think that a lot of you have forgotten that no one is greater than the program. It's all about the U!
