Also 22mph doesn’t mean **** when it isn’t reached until 60 yards down field. I’ll take the guy running 20 mph but he gets there within the first 20-30 yards.Yea….I’m pretty sure these scores were recorded in a controlled environment and not during a game or a scrimmage. Tyreke hit 22mph wearing full gear in a game. With big grown *** men in the way, trying to hit him. A couple of our guys hit 22 with underwear running in a straight line. For all we know, it could have been on a track or another hard surface. It is not the same. It wouldn’t surprise me if Tyreke could hit high 23 to 24 with those advantages. I’m pretty sure we got a few fast kids on the roster, but we don’t play fast… and No way in **** do we got kids outchea running alongside Tyreke.
I agree 100 percent. But specifically looking at the last few years 2 guys who have never shown up on any of these lists are Flagg and Ivey. They seemed to always be involved in big plays where their lack of speed killed us. Our team has been slow don’t get me wrong. but it was so glaring when it came to them. We just haven’t been recruiting fast players.Imma keep it real; none of this impresses me. We’ve been saying players r hitting 20+ mph for a minute, & we’ve continuously been thee slowest team on the field no matter who the opponent has been.
speed still killsMTSU was blowing by our guys while we stood still.. Those vest need to be re calibrated because Tyreek Hill hitting 22 mph but Im supposed to believe the slowest team I ever seen in cane jerseys got multiple guys running close to same speed? LMAOOO
I remember in OB they used to make it look like track meet, get this crap outta my face, we slow af.. Chris Johnson SAVE US!!!!!
Exactly my thought1 WR in the top 10 and not with an blazing time tells you all you need to know.
Which is why when Kam jumped that route to house it 99 yards, he looked a lot faster. You know what also makes guys look fast? Knowing where to ******* go. These numbers mean something but so does actually knowing the scheme, reading and reacting and tackling.
Truth. Hester somehow got faster with a football in his hands. CrazyOnce again, CIS misunderstanding speed and quicks. This is equally irrelevant as a 40 yard dash.
These speeds can be misleading because it captures folks at their top speed. IIRC, Raheem Mostert topped higher than Tyreek the last time I watched a youtube video on the NFL's top in game speeds.
It's not often that kids are going to reach top-end speed in a game. More reflective of actual game speed is how quickly can someone get to their top speed. It's that short-area burst and quickness where you see the distinction between a Tyreek Hill and a Raheem Mostert.
Look at Devin Hester. He ran a 4.41. Plenty of guys now run sub 4.4s. But Hester had maybe the best in game acceleration and short area burst I've ever seen.
I want to see some freaking game speed like most of our great teams in the past. On game days, we tend to be as slow as most of Mario's hiring processes have been![]()
A look at the 20 fastest players on Miami's roster
A look at the 20 fastest players on Miami's roster247sports.com
List of the fastest players on the team:
DB Jaden Harris - 22.13 mph
QB Jacurri Brown - 22.06 mph
LB Bobby Washington - 21.96 mph
CB Chris Graves - 21.78 mph
SAF Markeith Williams - 21.61 mph
CB Davonte Brown - 21.52 mph
TE Jaleel Skinner - 21.47 mph
WR Colbie Young - 21.31 mph
Terry Roberts - 21.17 mph
Te'Cory Couch - 21.16 mph
WR Brashard Smith - 21.14 mph
CB Malik Curtis - 21.13 mph
RB Mike Periano - 21.12 mph
WR Jacolby George - 21.07 mph
RB Henry Parrish - 21.05 mph
WR Isaiah Horton - 21.02 mph
WR Jefferson Walls - 20.89 mph
EDGE Chantz Williams - 20.88 mph
CB Daryl Porter - 20.84 mph
RB Don Chaney - 20.76 mph
I no longer pay attention to these times. Does it show who is faster relative to the rest of the roster? I suppose. But it has virtually no correlation to on-field speed. I remember Dee Wiggins had a ridiculous speed while he was here.
And, for context, the fastest NFL 2022 season speeds topped out at 22.11. Only 2 guys IN THE ENTIRE LEAGUE got faster than 22.
Oooohhhh he mopin!!!!1 WR in the top 10 and not with an blazing time tells you all you need to know.
