Today is when you make these arguments? The greatest single season turnaround in UM history and a coach who is in the running for ACC coach of the year.

It was kinda talked ad nauseam how bad our shooting was going to be before the year started. If you had grand illusions they’d shoot the ball well, then you just plainly don’t know ball.

Miami is an incredible rebounding and second chance team. You can’t whine about bringing in talent, and not give the due credit of maximizing the talent that’s here. It’s an athletic team that crashes the boards, runs when available putting intense pressure inside.

Lucas has figured out the strength of this team and has maximized it. If that’s not top tier coaching than I don’t know what is. This isn’t a championship roster, but he rebuilt an entire roster in one year, and has a chance to win the most regular season games in program history.

Shooting needs to be addressed, but legitimately how many shooters were available that were going to come to a team with a coach who had never coached a game? To a team off a seven win season? Be real man. Get a grip and go touch some grass.

We have a mediocre Miami team. Jai put an entire roster together in 2 weeks. Everyone involved has overachiever to the maximum level. Couldn't be more proud of the turnaround. Surprise surprise the team is flawed.

They are a very talented young team. Lucas has done a great job, getting them to this point. Your points are valid, they don’t play great team ball a lot of unforced errors. Those kind of things will show up and kill us in tournament. That being said the turn around for the team this season is amazing and Lucas deserves his flowers for that!!

A counter of some sort?

How about...it's Year 1, after a horrendous year in which the prior head coach resigned after 12 games and the interim coach died shortly after, Jai Lucas had to replace the ENTIRE team with a collection of transfers, foreign players, and high-school flips.

How about...one of our rotational players was diagnosed with cancer mid-season and hasn't played since.

How about...we give a bit of credit to the other team when we are playing on the road against a team fighting to make the NCAA Tournament.

How about...you get the spelling correct on Noam Dovrat's name, which you've now screwed up twice in two different manners.

"Against better teams they will struggle." Wow, should you get credit for stating the obvious? Yes, 4 of our 6 losses were to teams that were ranked (when we were unranked). Our TWO losses to unranked teams were by 1 point to a 21-game-wins Cal team, and by 2 points to a surprisingly hot F$U team, which has won 9 of their last 12 games, with one of those losses being to Miami in a rematch.

We also beat a higher-ranked North Carolina team. We were tied (on the road) with a higher-ranked Virginia team and only lost on the free throws UVa made after a questionable foul call.

We are 24-6 and 13-4 in the AC****ingC, and we have clinched the 3-seed in the conference tournament and a double-bye.

We are ranked #22 in the AP poll and #23 in the coaches poll.

Do you really need any other "counters"?

I'd like to see fewer turnovers. The FT shooting and 3-point shooting were known when we signed these 15 guys. Let's not act like this is "bad coaching" and you should acknowledge that we had to fight to land the players we do have, particularly with the high school guys.

As much as I worried about Jai's lack of head coaching experience, he deserves to be named the ACC Coach of the Year. In his first season as a head coach. Ever.

THAT is "good coaching".
