Good god we are so soft! Kids can't even get pumped... I wonder if it was a Donna side affect or AG. Bc played under Shannon were very lacksidasical as well.

If you've ever participated in these types of activities, you always think they are stupid / useless going in, only to find that they are immensely helpful in helping you build relationships with your teammates / co-workers. I'm a big supporter of this. I believe that it will be a huge benefit to these kids. Whether or not it will help with the wins and losses is debatable - the coaches will need to fix their schemes and make in-game adjustments for us to see more W's.

A ton of schools do things similar to this and it happens in a lot of sports. It's far more about leadership emerging to coordinate their efforts than any of the physical aspects of it. Very little of it is related to the demands of the game but it can still have a ton of value, especially in a situation where the expected leader is still fairly new to the program. Just another chance for a young QB and others to cement themselves as leaders.

Underwhelming and detached. Eeesh.

Just curious, did Coker have to resort to these types of things before the 2001 and 2002 seasons?

It's just something to do for conditioning that is actually a fun experience. A lot of schools do this stuff. Do you think they should just go outside and run plays and lift weights all day everyday? Thats what most fans seem to expect.
We were ranked 112 of 128 in div. 1 in penalties in 2014.
Get the **** off the beach and on the field.

We miss you Big AL, who will be the next AL Blades to take control of the team.

This is definitely fun, notwithstanding the conditioning benefits. And while lots of school do some diversionary activity that also serves for some conditioning work, NOT "lot of schools [can do] this stuff" at all with activities in the water and in that beach scenery. This is good recruiting for not only ballers far away whoare attracted to the beach, water, and great weather, but this is also cool to inner city Miami kids that can't afford such lifestyle activity. Boost for recruiting appeal!

Just play football. **** that pen state bull****

You mean Penn State, Alabama, Oregon, Texas, Ohio State, Tennessee, Nebraska, Notre Dame, Virginia Tech,...and on an on and on...bull****? Such leadership programs are common practice among college football teams, and pro football teams, and baseball teams, and basketball teams, and hockey teams, and corporations....

Stop your whining.
