Agree. If Arroyo blows up like we all think he will in this offense...The very slight chance he declares early (and we lose Mallory) would warrant us bringing in 3 for insurance purposes. Cant leave Skinner alone going into 2023. Skinner and Riley W would be little to no dropoff. Let Carver and Mekiska (sp?) develop properly.

Programs take 3 TE’s in classes all the time. It’s okay lol. Especially with the latest counter rule, stack them up. Bama took 3 last year. We need them. Arroyo could be in his final year (assuming he leaves early) when they get on campus and obviously Mallory will be long gone. Let them compete and may the best men win.

If they want to run 2 TE sets we definitely need more bodies. Plus we are going after bigger TEs too rather than the H back type. There’s gotta be some attrition.

I think we plan to keep and play all 3 as TEs. The only thing we may (unlikely) see is Reid growing out of the TE position and becoming an OT down the road. He is 250+ with a year of high school still to play, and an elite blocker. Staff has a plan for all 3 and I trust it.

Before we flipped Skinner, Bama was about to take 4 TE last year. Plenty room for 3 TE in Gaddis offense. Riley won't have to worry about playing time.

This kid wouldn’t be here until 2023. When arroyo would be a 3rd year player. Meaning Arroyo could be gone by Williams’ 2nd year here.
