For those that don't know, on3 acquired the Rivals brand and are using it for recruiting coverage. So Rivals=on3 when it comes to recruiting.

They are pretty bold when it comes to their recruiting rankings, as they value things like verified measurables, multisport background and other indicators that pop up in NFL Draft picks. They just ranked Colorado commit TE Gavin Mueller (Chicago) as the #56 player in America and the #4 overall tight end. Miami is hot on Mueller and trying to flip him as soon as possible. Here's a summary of their rationale:

- Elite size/speed combination
- Legit 6'5, 250
- Three-sport athlete
- Only 1.5 years of high school football
- 17 TDs from direct snaps and 6 TD catches as a senior.

I did some digging myself, and Mueller's track numbers were pretty eye-popping. He has a 55'2.25 PR in the shotput which, for comparison, is more than Jalen Rivers had when he won states in Florida. He also throws the discus 157'1. And while he won't be confused with Tom Chambers, he can elevate a bit in hoops.

These clips are from a couple years ago before he started playing football:

How do you guys value Mueller?

This is why when people cry about 3 star recruits I laugh. Kid got a major bump. He’s huge. I anticipate some of the TEs leaving this year. Lofton included. He’s the true tight end Briggs is the flex

That’s asking a lot from a kid who just started playing organized football and is midyear enrolled.

He is behind Luka and Schott already. He may get snaps but has a lot to learn about football.
He could know the game without actually having played. Idk where his knowledge level is at but we are going to find out in the spring. He definitely got the physical profile to do it

Writing off a player that was injured and can’t get back. Same ol.
