Te’Cory Couch Vs Pitt (video)

Dunson seems to be in the same mold. He did a real nice job shedding the block on the fake punt, saved a sure first down.

I remember you and I having differing opinions on Malek as a freshman. I was hard on him, but only bc I thought he wasn’t ready for the amount of snaps he was getting. In general, mid-October is right around the time I am comfortable putting freshman out there. Hopefullly the youth movement we saw this week is the beginning of things to come.
Yeah, it's mostly because I tend to value (maybe in a biased way) players with excellent feet. At almost any position. I've had a few discussions on here where people (not you) tell me "footwork can be taught." I don't fully agree. Steps can be improved. Recognition can be improved via preparation. But, good footwork/balance is something players tend to develop as kids and combine with a natural ability to change direction.

I don't think there's a physical attribute I find more important in modern football. So many formations spread across the field. So much grass to cover and tough angles to make. Not sure why we still see evaluations on multiple levels emphasize something like height over something like feet. Malek was a good example of that and he was feisty with the ball in the air to boot. I had the same hopes for Couch. I wish we'd have at least 2 more just like them on the roster.

Couch was a dog before he got here. And he's the only CB who looks for the ball. Praise his Optimist and HS coaches if anyone.
This👆🏻, only DB I have seen turn his head and look for the ball on a more consistent basis.

Semper Canes!!!

its be said already but again he's the best pure coverage corner on the roster and idk if its close. Best in Man coverage has the best feet. Needs to continue to get stronger

Yeah...no. The modern game is a ton of perimeter throws/runs so you have to be able to tackle better than that sissy.

CBs average what 3 tackles a game? If you value that over cover ability I don't know what to tell ya.

Henderson is worse than Deion in that regard. But yeah I'd rather have Ivey.

I said they have to tackle better than Deion did. I not saying throw Shaq Quarterman at CB lol.

/Ivey has played well this year minus UAB.

He's our best coverage corner in this weird defensive scheme.
ROFL, the one thing I gotta give coach diaz credit for, to have a defense that keeps being ranked high in several categories when often times we using only about 8 players on defense, is actually some Historic ****.

Lets be real. Bandy as a Sophomore looked better than Bandy as a junior.
It was easy for him to look better as a sophomore than as a junior, as a sophomore, who was behind him, as a junior, he became cb#1, matched up against more top tier guys and still held his on, so in reality, he had a better year as a junior based on the competition level, as a sophmore, he didn't have to do as much!

This defensive scheme IS STRAIGHT BASURA! How many times do you see a SLOT wr with the S 10 yards back. I'm like Baker has been doing this for a year and half now. What the **** is wrong with him. This team is just frustrating, I just want us to play cleaner games. More big plays, defense more fundamentally sound. We leave guys wide open and better teams will exploit us.
ROFL " The awakening"!

ROFL, this all I was searching for, somebody that was gone give credit where credit is due, all these **** hypocrites in here are now trying to separate our cb's success from the coach, LOL, these guys are a joke and clowns man. All coach rumph does is have his guys balling and playing with confidence since he got here. All the crickets after the Clemson game because when we bring up 2018 and us having the #1 pass defense, ****'s tried to play that sissyy *** bullshat about, "what high powered offense or qb did we face" and than when we did "like opponent" and I put the Lsu qb stats and had bandy not gotten tossed out that game, cause most of those yards came on dean, crickets again.

So the question was asked the other day, was trevor and his receivers a legit enuff offense, all the ivey haters stayed quiet and if anybody gave ivey props besides me I didn't see it, cause you know they still mad st em cause they still think it was his fault against G-tech on that special teams bomb. All I've has been doing the past 2 years is balling and getting better. That UVA game last year against Dubois was one of his best game, he went toe to toe with a legit senior wideout and stuck to em like glue, forced em to make elite NFL style catches.

Now the only thing I did see a couple of times in regards to ivey is people asking did he actually play, ROFL, what that tell ya.

By the way, just came across a beautiful message from coach rumph to the conglomerate section of C.I.S. members:

Was very impressed w Couch; and I liked when he got into a glue position, he had the wherewithal to turn his head around and play the ball.
