One of my kids that was recruited by him told me today that he said Miami has always been his dream job. (words directly from Meacham's mouth)

Has there ever been any word of him inquiring at all?

I think Miami is looking for someone more experienced. If we were coming off of success, we might go after somebody like him.

Love what he's done with TCU's offense. Not sure why he'd take that north texas job seems like he could hold out for better.

I don't think I've heard anything about him. He has an interesting resume that includes stops at Oklahoma St., Houston, and currently TCU.

If we took another project, I'd be straight with him. But this is if Richt, Butch, and Mullen all tell us no. I would take him over Schiano though.

He was in consideration at North Texas. He's the OC at tcu. He's 50 and still a coordinator. Let him go prove himself first and then get back to us.

Oh good, other name. If he isn't getting or been fired for losing to much, he does not qualify. School is avoiding Butch because are afraid he will win again. Apparently, failed coaches are the only option they are considering -- wouldn't want a winner to sneak in.

Meacham reached out (through connections) as soon as Golden was fired but UM was not considering Coordinators. UM went hard after Patterson instead.

Excellent offensive football coach. But I'd probably go get Dana Hologram if I wanted a Mumme tree Air Raid guy.

UM was Golden's dream job, too.

Was it really? Or is that just what he was telling us?

Meacham said this behind closed doors to a kid from South FLA before we even started the coaching search.

Irrelevant now though.
