I watched the second Half of the game. Oregon should be able to easily beat a team or program that has only won 14 games the last 4 years, stanford is terrible. what I have been saying is that Mario plays bad teams close way too often that open the door for upsets like this, it’s a pattern. and that he will win 10 games with 12-13 win talent, or 5 games with 8 win talent, etc. your last paragraph says it all- they had a simple offensive strategy, and he didn’t have much of a plan B. He’s also NOt good at either recruiting qbs, identifying them or developing them because brown Was below average and they had no one this year So had to get nixIn fairness Utah thoroughly beat UO, although I would argue rumors began circling of Mario being interested in Miami at that juncture; nevertheless, a true *** whipping.
Against Stanford, being that I watched that game, not only did CJ Verdell sustain a crazy injury that slowed momentum, but the refs legitimately stole that game from UO. Now it can be also argued that UO had enough talent to overcome that injury, but if anyone watched UO last season, the offense was CJ, which protected Brown from having to throw as much, & allow him to set up play action for easy completions.
