I didn't get to watch the full game last night - anyone see how Couch did?

Wasn’t an absolute liability out there

but still wasn’t the best... but I’ll give him slack as it was his first start if I’m not mistaken

it’s the same old same watching Ivey get beat like a drum and picked on when the offense needs a completion

I’m confused. He’s had more than his share of struggles but I don’t remember Ivey even giving up a catch yesterday...

Couch got beat a few times but you can see he clearly has better technique and is better in general than Ivey. Clearly. We also won’t face a better WR unit the rest of the season other than Clemson of course. I don’t think people realize how good of an offense we faced last night.

He’s got potential as he gains experience. I’m already couch over Ivey. He did get absolutely mossed 1 time but his coverage was there

Made some plays in the run game and like someone mentioned was all over a receiver on a reception but it was solid coverage.

Seeing him punch up through the WR hands to dislodge the ball brought a tear to my eye. Haven’t seen one safety or corner do that besides Blades.

Couch was a huge liability Saturday. He was exposed but it’s his first consistent playing time in a game. He will get better but he was pretty much torched.

Has more speed than ivey obviously, a little stickier in coverage but he gave up yards and catches too. Great open field tackle in the first half I think To stop them on 3rd down on Micael Cunningham.
The play where the DB got a shoestring and Cunningham flipped trying to spin away? One of the most overlooked plays by our defense. You might call it lucky, but Cunningham had a open field in front of him and would have run for a long gain without that luck. I’ll take it.
