Tate on "personal leave".

I'm ****ed Miami is as bad as they are. If I had my way we would be in playoff contention with Tate at starting qb pushing for heisman hype. That way at every nationally televised game there would be plenty of Kiki and Rylee shots.

Yeah the kid who tried to transfer and then quit on his team midway thru the season before being anointed the starter again and then throwing 3 interceptions against FIU was good enough for this staff.

I keep replaying this over and over. How bad is that QB room that we keep coming back to the JW well?? This guy isn't that good that we keep eating all this s#it from him. How nerdy is Enos that he keeps nutting over his mechanics or smarts or whatever that they accept that fact he's a headcase that quits if Manny doesn't say "he's our guy" every press conference??

Diaz needs to "STOP" playcateing these kids. Totally understand TM's bummed about not playing. He's been on campus since Spring 2019 competing for the QB job. This includes all the practices and scrimmages. When JW was benched against VT after tossing 3 ints why do you think they turned to Kosi? Because UM had to throw the football to get back into the game. Stop covering for this kid while he's looking for a new team.

Yeah, so good at Ohio State that he saw garbage time in six blowouts as a back-up, never took one meaningful snap and bailed out when Justin Fields rolled in ... only to come to Miami, not beat out Jarren Williams, not beat out N'Kosi Perry as a second-stringer and seems more concerned with his social media starlet girlfriend than working to find his way onto the field.

Incredible how many of our fans are sweating the kid because he was undefeated at a Las Vegas high school and was featured on Beyond The Lights on Netflix.

If this kid was a back-up at Florida, y'all would be trashing Gators for fan-boying out on a kid that hadn't played a meaningful snap since his senior year at Bishop Gorman two years ago—but somehow he'd be the second-coming at Miami if on the field; magically undoing 15 years of incompetence at this program and saving the day week after week—because 43-0 on a winning program completes translates to how one performs at the collegiate level.

All that, "kids from winning programs just find a way to win" nonsense—let's ask ol' Jacory Harris, Tommy Streeter, Aldarius Johnson, Kendal Thompkins, Brandon Washington and Marcus Forston how that all turned out—those Miami Northwestern kids going, what 53-5 over their four years, with two State Championships? Sean Spence was the only cat on that squad worth his weight, who played for the Canes.

Would've loved to see Martell do something at Miami this year—but everyone so quick to recall his lack of accuracy and inability to his the broad side of a barn back in spring ball.

Dude seems just fine living that South Florida life with his chick and no stress. Football seems like the last thing on his mind. Dude is taking more "personal time" than Pete Davidson is leaving Saturday Night Live every other week to bang broads.

I wish Tate Martell wanted to be on the field as much as some of y'all want him to be there.

Neither did Joe Burrow. How'd that turn out for LSU?

The only thing TM and Joe Burrow have in common is OSU. Burrow is head and shoulders above TM throwing the football. Ryan Day saw TM up close and personal all last year as the backup to Dwayne Haskins. He knew he had to address his QB situation Haskins departed for the NFL. Day told TM what was up when Justin Fields had not even taken a snap for OSU. Stop the madness!

That's not the point. The comment was "Yeah, so good at Ohio State that he saw garbage time in six blowouts as a back-up, never took one meaningful snap and bailed out when Justin Fields rolled in".

Well Fields bolted bc he couldn't beat out Fromm. Burrow was 29-39 in limited garbage time reps but bolted because of Haskins (many felt it wasn't really a fair competition from the start). Tate did nothing different than those 2 when it comes to why he left. The difference?

Oh - and by the way. There's a REAL possibility Burrow is drafted higher than that guy who so easily beat him out at OSU after coaches saw them day in and day out.

"The difference"?...Burrow & Fields left quietly, Tate OTOH...

Grasp at whatever you want. It doesn't change the fact that coaches can be wrong - we've seen it a hundred times. The individual kids are different. Their styles are different. Their persona is different. The situations are not. You will only know once a kid plays.
