I read that he's already hired a lawyer, and everyone is speculating whether he will be eligible, but I haven't heard a definitive answer from anyone on WHEN we will find out the NCAA's decision. For anyone knowledgeable about these circumstances, will we know something in the next couple of weeks? By the spring game? Later? Just curious, and I doubt I'm the only one, thanks.

I have seen some speculation it won’t be before April. Don’t know how accurate. He couldn’t file until he enrolled.

It will be this spring. Anywhere from February to possibly early April, but it will be somewhat quick. We'll know 100% either by or near spring ball, so the entire summer will have clarity on who is eligible and who is not.

I think his approval will depend a lot on Fields approval. If they grant Fields a waiver because one idiot fan blurted out the “N” word gotta believe they’d have to give Tate his waiver with all the BS that went on at Taint with *** leaving and one of the coaches being canned ( but somewhat allowed to continue to coach for a while after it happened) for continued sexual abuse.

Seems like Martell’s case would have a lot more negatives than just having one drunk( or just idiotic) fan call you a bad word.

You know the NCAA is going to do whatever it can to help Taint so I like our chances especially since Tate’s family had gotten an attorney involved.

And if all else fails they can just have Riley show up in her pretty little bikini and strut a liitle bit to help them decide.

When the penumbra of the moon crosses in front of the arc of the sun, the peach trees in Shanghai bloom and the rivers of Galilee turn to blood, it’ll be anyone’s guess.

Your invocation of the magic words has summoned the ancient one . . .

They'll have absolutely nothing to do with one another.

Don't count on the NCAA to have a decision anytime soon. The good thing is Tate still gets to compete in spring regardless. Spring game should be a treat

Why tf would they base one waiver off of what happens with another ? And do you know how many kids are transferring ? There is no reason to think these two cases would be intertwined .

Fields was called a racial slur by a fellow UGA student and baseball player btw who was subsequently dismissed, not a random fan. Not the same situation at all

Once the petition/waiver papers have been filed I believe ncaa has 6 weeks to answer.if answer is negative then a n appeal process begins.start to finish should take 90 days including appeals if necessary.
