Talk lately has me a little nervous about 2020 football season. Thoughts?

Do you think we will play football in 2020?

You are one stubborn dude. My point is it has nothing to do with the safety of the players. It has to do with optics.
Yeah, if you are a "it's just the flu guys" type of guy "logic" (and you are) this need not be rehashed anymore, good talk though bud. We are all entitled to our own opinion on the matter, even if it's wrong.

I’m not “it’s just the flu type guy”, dolt. Pay attention. But if you’re young and fit, or even just younger, it likely has lower morbidity mortality than one the most recent flu seasons. These are just facts.

It’s definitely not flu-like if you’re over 50 or 60 or have significant underlying condition.

Never thought I would see the day, 75% of the economy where I live is oil driven, people are losing it. Not good.
Although not fully COVID 19 related, this latest issue was straw that broke camel's back.

Hard to see how US doesn't open the doors and soon.

Then again, most of the oil patch is in red states, so blue states won't care as much.

Similar to red staters not caring LA restaurants and movies not opening...

and so the division widens further and further

Could not agree more, people are getting antsy, the stay at home orders will be lifted soon. See what happens....

You are in the oil patch correct?

What stories can you share from friends and family?

What is the bubba/bubbette perspective down on Drill Rig Lane?

I actually am not, but most everyone I associate with is. Our Governor is pushing for a May 6th "soft open" but today's oil "events" may change that to sooner. When you live off oil and it goes negative, buttholes pucker....rightfully so

San Antonio being hit hard by the news too...lots of Eagle Ford Shale types live there...Katy and Midland as well...

Minot North Dakota will see a huge impact as well. Before it was just the AFB, but with the shale boom, even that revenue was eclipsed by the black gold.

People tend to forget the purpose of this was to avoid the initial spike of cases. Absent a vaccine, there will still be people getting sick every year just like they do from influenza and other coronaviruses. Once the novelty wears off (SWIDT), it's just another virus with the potential for serious complications.

If we can get an effective treatment, we'll be in a better position.

55 times more infections than reported. Mercifully the mortality rate is plummeting. What does LA and Cali do with this?

Still cancel Christmas?

If you were mayor of LA, what would you do?

55 times. COVID 19 is headed to a mortality less than a bad influenza season at this point.

Math is math.

So, players could report in late July or early August with a week or two delay to season start?

If the season is pushed to the Spring of 2021, how many NFL prospects would still play? My guess is a guy like D'Eriq would just sit out and await the NFL draft a few months later.

Someone needs to let @ShadowSpring know he can leave his isolation chamber.
