Talent Gap

We didn't lose last night because LSU had more talented players. Even with a crappy QB in Rosier Vegas still had us favored by 3.5.

We lost because Richt and Manny are not good enough coaches to 1. Maximize on our position advantages and 2. Scheme around our position deficiencies

Dave Arranda is worth every penny, Manny wishes he could be that good someday. It's scary to think of what an elite OC or DC Could do with our talent. The sad thing is that if Richt repeats history, he will be very slow to make changes within his staff
Arranda is the man but talent is still our problem. It was perfectly on display last night. Rosier isn’t good enough to be a Miami QB. We don’t have enough quality OTs. St Louis is playing on the wrong side and Donaldson isn’t a tackle. He should be at Guard and would be top notch there. The second string OL is hot garbage. Willis looked great but when he wasn’t in there, our DTs looked mediocre at best. Our CBs outside of M Jackson looked like ****, and I think we overrated MJ anyway. And then there is Knowles. If you don’t think there was a talent issue I don’t know what to tell you. Sure there are spots on the team where we were outright better than LSU but there are spots where we are still a meh ACC team. I do think the 2018 class changes a bunch of that but they just weren’t ready. The 2015 and 2016 classes had some ballers in it but the problem was that the fillers just aren’t gonna cut it and that was painfully on display last night.

Rosier is garbage, we can all agree on that

But on paper we were favored to win every game this year. Besides every team except FSU we have considerably more talent. Start naming all of the ACC teams that you think has more talent than Miami excluding Clemson and FSU.

You are correct there but we thought or were incorrectly hoping we were past that point. Beating a flawed LSU team should not be too much too ask

When you play teams as good or better than you. You have to do three things:
Win the turnover battle
Win the penalty battle
Win the field position battle
We didn’t do either of those three. ANd we won the bonehead move battle. We could have scored before the end of the half and Harley and GR15 ruined it for us

I agree, LSU is beatable. I'll bet you a dollar that this loss is gonna look even worse at the end of the season when LSU goes 8-5 and they fire

We are all upset in the fashion we lost. Every single issue that we had in 2017 was out in full force last night.

If Miami swapped coaching staffs with Alabama or Clemson I bet you we would be in the hunt for a playoff spot while the Richt coached team would have an extra 2 to 3 losses based on the schemes and play callin.

Ultimately I don't feel that we have the coaches in place to win a championship. Miami will try to recruit its way there but will fall short as the Bamas Clemsons Georgia's and even now Washingtons will be better coached
