Was at the game, and there is no doubt in my mind that LSU had better players than we did last night. We were physically outmatched.
At some point, the myth of the "underrated" South Florida 3-star needs to die.
LSU's 5-stars whipped these South Florida 3-stars, and that is something I saw with my own eyes. Especially at the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball.
We need to recruit better. If we want to compete with the SEC, and with the Clemsons of the world, we need to start bringing in 5-star linemen who can match up with those teams physically. We need to win more recruiting battles for DT's and OL. No more "diamonds in the rough" and projects.
Obviously, the quarterback play needs to be a lot better... but I don't think Jake Burrow was anything spectacular. All he did was not lose them the game. Also, LSU didn't out-scheme anyone. They played a very vanilla game. They just lined up and beat us. They won the individual battles, and we lost.
The team with the better players won last night, IMO. And that sucks.
