  1. STOP running the ball up the middle out of shotgun. Our RBs are getting the ball standing still with zero momentum. Get them in pistol, let them hit the handoff already moving downhill, and give them the ability to read the hole and cut left or right. Let these dudes RUN.

Wiley and JJ looked really good. Sucks Wiley plays Mo's position. I would love to see him starting next to him FR.

Heatherman makes teams earn their TDs with a ton of plays, it's kind of boring but it makes sense against an inferior team and it worked. I agree he'll get more aggressive when they're more settled in or if it's actually needed.
 
My take aways
OJ is CB1
Blount is a potential DE1.
97 needs more reps
TE and LB coaching got those men ready! Now keep upgrading talent and experience.
OG,C play has to improve or no natty. Clearly they are trying to get Cantwell more snaps. SJ and Maxx didn’t look like the answer. Sucks that we lost kinsler to Ole Miss. he may have been the starter at RT or OG.

Its Dawson, Houston fans complained about this regularly. Not saying Mario doesn’t love duo because honestly I dont know but I can tell you Dawson ran up the middle constantly at Houston. Maybe its why Mario hired him 🤷🏾‍♂️

When I get the chance I will find the direct quotes where MARIO HIMSELF says he bought Dawson in to MARRY his air raid pass game with their run game.. This is not a secret or something, this is from the HC himself.. You listen to houston fans over what the HC himself said?!

Whole gameplan was very basic, defense just ran zone all night and we really didn't show anything. The big plays were just option routes by Mali making the right choice

Marty Brown had some nice runs relatively speaking. He looks like he’s trimmed down and bit more burst but could be wrong there

He did look good. Obviously, we’re stacked at RB.

But I’ll keep saying the same thing I’ve been saying for years. Stop handing the ball to our RBs out of shotgun when they’re standing still. Get in the pistol and let these guys have some momentum when they get the ball. Let them hit the hole already moving instead of starting from a dead stop.

Go back and watch the tape. Even with Cam Ward, when we went I-formation near the goal line, it worked **** near every time.

Loften is the PERFECT fullback for this offense. Miami used to do this when we had some of the best RBs of all time. I-formation. Pistol. Get these backs moving downhill and let them hit the hole with speed.

I’ve been saying this for years and everyone wants to give me crap about it, but just turn on the tape. IT WORKS.

I didnt say they were wrong but we know the numbers actually showed run game wasnt that strong because we became predictable and some might say it cost us a game.. Im just trying to let others know, I like the run game, we just got growing pains which shoul dbe expected..

Do I trust that houston fans who watch their team play every Saturday see most of their running plays going up the middle? Absolutely 💯...
