Tailgating without a NC ticket..

I was planning on taking Uber coming in from the Loews in the Gables. Planning on leaving around 1 pm. Any suggestions? I have taken Uber before to HRS for Canes games from this location without incident, but...not for the Natty! Appreciate any guidance.

I guess the plan is for them to tailgate until the police kick them out. Once that happens they can uber to casino and I’ll grab them on the way home. Lame
Or, other possible workaround for friends or family that are in the parking lot, I am sure there will be one big sweep after kickoff to not have people just hanging out in parking lots, if you have two people just sitting in chairs watching the game (not like a full on party) take a screenshot of your ticket, send it to them. maybe the cop gets super creative and makes them pull it out of their ticketmaster account but just say we have a ticket and we plan to go in at halftime, we want to watch the first half in the parking lot and show the screenshot.

Thanks for sharing, the light dmmed right after I reread your message and the hardrock posting - No tailgating during the game. Blah to that.

it is going to be a nightmare IMO. have them drop you off at a house to the east of the stadium

Plausible. I can maybe try that with my wife as her ticket and have my couple friend say she was too drunk to go inside so they were making sure she was sober enough before letting her go in. 🤔

i dont think this works. the rule is no tailgating after the game starts. it does not say no tailgating after the game start unless you have a ticket in which case you CAN tailgate.

i would not count on this strategy, which would result in having to improvise and see the game in the care while getting kicked out.

WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU PEOPLE?:??????????????????????????

the risk of so much going wrong and missing the game on TV is not worth the risk IMO. but this is miami, people do stupid, irrational **** all of the time trying to find a loophole that just doesnt exist.

in addition, if i haven't said enough already, you cannot reason with cops (my wife is drunk, i have a newly grown cyst on my ******* and I cannot move, etc.). they are black and white. no ticket, no laundry (Professor Hausler @TheOriginalCane @RVACane )

IDK man I have reasoned with them before, got into orange lot with yellow pass, all that, if you are cool a lot of times its okay and my loophole comment was only for people that have essentially committed to going.

I will agree it is confusing, the screenshot posted above says 1. no tailgating, but immediately below it, it says anyone without a game ticket will be asked to leave the parkinglot. Makes it appear as if you have a game ticket you can stay in the parking lot, otherwise why make that caveat? Just say after kickoff regardless of tickets, everyone needs to vacate the parking lot but they specifically said if you dont have a ticket you will be asked to leave so why the difference?

My wife & her friend don’t care about the game. My buddy will want to watch but he’s not a Miami fan. He’s a cop. I’m hoping he can flash his badge & maybe like a nightstick.. be like I’m handling this officer.

Maybe pretend to be talking on a walkie talkie 🤷🏻‍♂️

That’s how it plays out in my head anyway.

Tell him to try it and report back to us with the results.

Word on the streets is they're going to make you pinky promise you will leave when the game starts if you don't have a ticket.

None of us have a clue what is going to happen, but using logic and common sense, with dozens if not hundreds or even thousands of high profile attendees, including Trump and Rubio, my sense is the police will be extra tough.

Some additional common sense advice:

Plan to arrive early and stay late, traffic will be horrendous
Dont be an ***, you will be hauled away
Dont wear FSU or UF jerseys
Do not use D$ name in vain if you get in trouble
