I love our defense. Tackles for loss are off the charts and they have saved our season.
But what is the deal with not wrapping up? Is that no longer taught in HS programs? Is it a Florida thing?

It's a better show when two or more slide off, but there are three or four more that finalize the tackle.

The new era puzzie football has affected teaching tackling. Have guys sign waivers and bring back hitting.

Compared to 2yrs ago we are light years better. The prior staff’s ineptitude is almost inconceivable. If I hadn’t seen it with my own eyes I would have never believed how bad Miami had gotten under those 2 jerkoffs from NJ. How they still have jobs doing anything in football other than picking up some team’s locker room is beyond me...

Go Canes!

The crazier part is how ppl used to say it was the lack of talent when they finished 116 in the nation

The US Army in basic training no longer teaches troops how to throw hand grenades, and we see how our players have trouble tackling.

New soldiers can't throw, and the military isn't going to waste time teaching them to throw. Tackling is somewhat lacking - but for heaven's sake, I've seen a lot of bad angles, lot's of slide-offs, and lots of catch and release.

WTH is wrong with youngsters today?
