Tackling against AppState

Tackling was terrible against Bama. Against App I thought we did much better. I feel like we had less then 5 missed tackles, but I have read several posts stating the tackling was terrible again. Anyone have the stats on missed tackles against App? I thought we had more blown coverages then sacks, but hey what do I know. Would love to see an official stat on number of missed tackles.

Was better but not by a lot. First man missed a quite a bit but we cleaned up quickly. But as others stated, this is app state.

Lets not keep using "this was App State" when it comes to every narrative. Cam Peoples looked and played like a grown man at RB. Thats a big a$$ RB. Buddy was 6'2 225-230. Kudos to our guys for not wearing down. Gives me hope that we can play a physical game for 4 quarters if thats what MSU wants to do...They kept hitting him even if some of the hits rolled off him.

And Sutton looked big for a WR too. TS stepped up to the challenge. Hes is CB1 and lets stop all the "or" on the depth chart BS, Manny! Mental games are over at this point in the season. You need to save your job not try to play the Mentalist.
 
I saw the tackling as less of an issue that game - more of what I saw was our guys running themselves out of position to make the play, taking ridiculous angles, getting faked out by the QB, etc.
 
if they kept running the RB that kept stiff arming our guys with ease, it would of been uglier... have no clue why they didn't pound us with that dude.

Hall is the poster child for "ridiculous angles." I cannot imagine that he is better that James Williams in that regard. Sucks Balom is out, because he would be getting plenty of reps rn.

Angles were horrible and our linebackers scrape themselves out of play after play and have no gap integrity. That first touchdown run was embarrassingly bad.

He had some pretty big stops though from what I remember. He still isnt the type of SS that we need unfortunately, but until Tae gets going..hes really all we got.
