When I saw the title of the thread I thought it was some kind of joke. My immediate thought was how does a dog sh*t 3rd yr qb from a community college get invited to the shrine bowl?

Well deserved. Williams has been so good that not a single thread has been devoted to him until this one. No news is good news for an offensive lineman. He just gets the job done and will do the same at the next level.
We havent had a tackle like him in yearsssss.. His pass protection is soo good that you barely even know he is in the game, has eliminated his side of field the entire year, I think only time he gave up anything is mixup when rooster picked him off his man..

Good for him. He's been solid this season. We don't talk about him much and that's a good thing.

Oline has steadily improved this year. Let's hope next year we take another step forward with our run blocking.

What’s awesome is he wasn’t crazy impressive at Houston. Just a solid guy there too. He has adjusted to the P5 game well

He was pretty good, the dropoff isnt as bad as it used to be, I think Houston LT got drafted in league also, their oline was not bad..

Agreed. I can't remember going back even once and thinking "Williams got beat on that play". Not saying it never happened because there have been a lot of plays, and certainly King's mobility negates some of the pass rush, but Williams has been quietly awesome.

He's like former NBA player Cedric Ceballos. Never had a play called and would score the quietest 20 points ever. Didn't even know he had been that good until you looked at the box score after the game.

And the few games Williams missed is when we seemed to have the most protection problems. No way that's a coincidence.
