Nope, another ball dropped by Miami by not visiting him in December. He was pretty much told since he isnt signing until February that he isnt a priority right now.
So he's being delivered to Tennessee by the coach that many thought would have him end up there anyways?

Yup.. Here is it laid out - OFFENSE could potentially go 4 for 21 on their Top Targets

QB - 0 for 2

1. MJJ: PSU - (Put all our eggs in 1 basket. This will be a theme)
2. Sam Howell: FSU (or UNC) - Stupidly didn't recruit him until the 11th hour (this will be a theme as well)

RB - Potentially 0 for 6 (we'll call it 0 for 3 since we only really targeted the top 3 listed)

1. Marcus Crowley: OSU (Put all our eggs in 1 basket)
2. DJ Williams: Prob ALA/UGA/AUB (Stupidly didn't recruit him until the 11th hour)
3. MAR: AUB - Goofed around for a year by not telling the kid he can play RB
4. Kenny McIntosh: UGA - good enough for them but not Miami
5. Chez Mellusi: CLEM - good enough for them but not Miami
6. Nayquan Wright: UF - good enough for them but not Miami (and openly talks **** about us)

WR - 2 for 3 if we land Haselwood. Dugans luckily didn't get snagged last year by FSU

1. Jadon Haselwood: Miami - maybe the only saving grace on Offense
2. Frank Ladson: CLEM
3. Jeremiah Payton: Miami
4. John Dunmore: PSU/Miami - Stupidly didn't recruit him until the 11th hour
5. TJ Jones: Plan B/C

TE - 1 for 3 maybe 2 for 3 if we can land ZIp

1. Keon Zipperer: UF/Miami - Potentially could get caught with our pants down if this kid is trolling us
2. Jalen Wydermyer: TXA&M
3. Larry Hodges: Miami - not heavily recruited by top programs

OL - 0 for 7. Searles should've been fired mid season

1. Evan Neal: ALA - Put all our eggs in 1 basket
2. Darnell Wright: Staff hasn't even recruited
3. Michael Tarquin: UF - totally dogged by this kid
4. Donte Lucas: FSU/UF - Kid toyed with the staff all year
5. Kingsley Eguakun: UF - totally dogged by this kid. Put all our eggs in 1 basket
6. Darius Washington: MSST - Searles can't recruit
7. Maurice Smith: BC/FSU - Stupidly didn't recruit him until the 11th hour

Leftover Scrubs -
8. Jakai Clark: Miami
9. Zion Nelson: Miami
10. CJ Elmonus: WAKE - picked WAKE over us lol
11. Adam ElGammal: CIN

The recruiting on offense has been a disaster & we should be embarrassed, but let's clear up a few things.

QB - A disaster. Howell & many others should have been recruited earlier. No excuses, but Howell wasn't the only mistake.

RB - DJ Williams - Wasn't recruited by anyone anyone until the 11th hour. Hindsight says we should have earlier, but let's be honest, we were no diffferent than anyone.

MAR - He's not a RB. Simple as that. Have no issues with this recruitment. He'll make some plays at RB, but he's not a RB & has made a big mistake holding onto hope as a RB. If he wants to play at the next level he needs to accept being a Safety or WR.

KM - We recruited him heavily. We lost out, but shouldn't have. Don't pretend we didn't recruit.

CM - Got in on him but committed to Clemson early & shut it down. Just lost & is embarrassing, but don't pretend we didn't recruit. Don't pretend it;s different.

NW - A CIS hero. But just isn't a real loss as he'll never be anything more than a change of pace back. No big miss.

TE - Not a position we need to add to based on numbers & talent. We have Hodges, who is a swiss army knife. Wanted Widmeyer or Zipp, but neither is a crucial loss. Would have liked either in this class, but no big loss based on numbers. Need a 2nd TE to pair with the beast next year.

OL
Wright - We absolutely recruited him but he wasn't interested,

Lucas - Didn't toy with us. We knew he was a flake & gave him a little attention late. Also, he's not very good, but yes, once the O-Line class fell apart we gave him the bare minimum of attention

At the end of the day the O recruiting was bad, but let's not make up things to fit a narrative.

I think 2019 was the perfect storm of ****. Weak local class coupled with poor depth at positions we truly needed.

Oh, and Dunmore. Forgot about him. Is a solid over the middle WR, but let's not pretend he's not some big difference maker. Would I take him as a luxury, sure, but by no means is he some big loss. Has limited upside and just fills a specific skill set. At the end of the day the biggest issue with O recruiting is they went entirely to narrow. It';s embarrassing that the staff didn't cast a wider net for available talent that was similar to what their first choice options were.

Wright reached out to us. It's not his fault we rather visit PWO from Ohio instead.

Honestly I knew all of this, but to see it in black and white just hurt that much more. Man, what in the fck happened to our program?

Now you're just making thing up. But congrats, you've outed yourself as a Tr#^@Th*Moron.

Um it's well documented that he reached out to us.

Nobody was outed, why should he keep interest if we aren't recruiting him as hard as other schools.

**** I said months ago on here as long as we recruit him just as hard as other schools we have a strong chance.

We didnt and now he is only looking at schools that visited him in December.

You also said that Miami would need to be in the playoff chase in order to land him, and he wants to play with Evan Neal who is not coming here, no?

Yup but Evan told him back in October he isnt going to Miami. He still had interest. During the 4 game losing streak and everyone was telling him Richt is going to be fired or retire before he is finished, he still had interest.

But when Searless was 3 hours away recruiting a PWO and didnt even set up a In-Home or School visit in December. he pretty much said **** Miami.

When you lay out like that it’s amazing there is anyone left on this coaching staff.

Any AD that would find that acceptable is beyond me.
CMR has no other choice except to go to the acc game in 2019 and make it close.
The problem I see occurring is the same thing with Golden. We’re goint to hang on to cmr too long into the season and make a quick hire in order to salvage whatever recruiting momentum we may have.
If February comes and we’re sitting outside the top 25 in recruiting the AD has to let cmr know that the leash has been cut real short. Or the BOT, adidas, or whoever better do so.
Can’t be going deep into the season again with a **** poor product in the field.
That would make two recruiting classes full of jags.
That alone would make it very difficult to entice a top coach to come and try to rebuild a team.

I call it the law of Golden. Go back and revisit my post when I said keeping Golden past the 2014 season would have dire consequences. The 2015 class would not be up to par, and if he gets fired during the 2015 season, then that means the coach is going to have to try to salvage the 2016 class. Being that the new coach would have two bad classes, most likely it will carry over to the 2017 class b/c the production wouldn't be there and we would still have a stain. So by keeping Golden for 1 yr, we would be set back 3 yrs.

Welp, I will repeat, keeping Richt past this season does nothing for us, UNLESS he decided to make offensive changes. He's content w/ his staff as is, and between the comments from Brown calling young men cancer, the **** poor QB room, the **** poor OL room, the **** poor ST, and the season we had that all came to crashing crescendo, it has now caused detrimental effects to the class of 19. That has also trickled down to the class of 20. Keeping Richt past this season does nothing for us. I was willing to give him a chance if he made changes to his staff....and it true a-hole form, he literally gave his bosses and the fans the middle finger and this recruiting class is suffering for it.
