Swag comes from putting in the work that has you prepared to take care of business in primetime when the lights come on.
Used to be a greater understanding for the process and paying one's dues. That's a lost are these days. If Diaz can get kids to buy into that approach, Miami will become a machine again—but you're not puling from a vast pool of local kids who want to do that anymore. Most kids are front-runners these days and want to go play for the brightest and shiniest team.
Long gone are the cats who were signing up to be part of a rebuild and took pride in knowing they could be the class that ate s**t for a few years, but finally put UM back on the map.
Very true....JJ, Schnelly, Butch, did.....Erickson, and Clappy, not too much..the team took care of it all.Swag was and is ... you better work hard in the off season bc a new frosh will take your spot if you dont do the work.... fear motivates
