For the most part, most of Miami media is pretty bad. She’s obviously the worst though. Her questions are just way out of left field and sometimes have nothing to do with anything. How she got this far in career is beyond me.
 
If I had just moved to SoFla and heard her for the first time, I would have thought she suffered from early dementia or something. Seriously. But she has always been like this. It really is shocking that she is the best the Herald can do.
 
Ah, you people don't get it. Susan is a gift from God for Manny and the program. She's a sweet, harmless woman, a female journalistic equivalent of Joe Biden. She a little slow and asks silly questions - really love her follow ups - but Manny should be delighted to put up with her. She's not a late 20-something pitbull looking to make her mark in a climb to a columnist or TV gig. She's not tossing out gotcha questions or trying to tear down the program.
For true football fans or anyone with a brain, she's like your aunt Mildred at Thanksgiving dinner. But hey, just laugh with her and be happy - the alternative could be a lot worse.

Susan Miller “Dingbat” at it again I see! Lol how that lady still has a job down here in south Florida is beyond me. Smh
 
shes very bad at the questioning thats for sure, but shes had a tough few months with the loss of her mother. I would say her articles are generally OK, but since I am watching the youtube videos now after each practice, reading the herald is unnecessary because all the writers ever do is rehash public knowledge.

I suggest all the journalists perusing this board start doing some investigative journalism and get some insider voices because I already know what your article is going to say, thanks to youtube.

Start interviewing other coaches on specific topics we want to hear about, if thats possible.

With regards to the herald, its a young mans/woman's game college football, get a fresh writer. We have been listening to Manny and SMD for the better part of 20 years.

Manny's utter disdain for her has been clear since he took over the HC job. Dude clearly can't stand her.

The Herald hasn't experienced much luck with female sportswriters. Susan Miller Degnan, Linda Robertson, Dave Barry's wife.

She must have ridiculous business connections to still be employed as a journalist cuz her writing and questions are just awful

Sadly, it's not a gender thing. If you listen to the post-practice interviews, her male cohorts aren't much better. The line of questioning often seems to be driven by a clueless, unprepared cast of characters just freed from their mother's basement.
