Which is the hardest position for a Freshmen to come in and be a impact player on offense and defense.

I say QB hardest WR easiest on Off
SS hardest DE easiest on Def

I think MLB is hardest on defense, though Shaq did an excellent job. Hard for an 18 year old to meet the physical and intellectual demands.

Agree on offense.

Not to toot your horn but I think MLB might be the hardest, especially from a leadership perspective. I'm not that knowledgeable in the behind the scenes stuff but isn't MLB usually regarded as the QB of the defense? Putting people in position and being the vocal leader on the team is what I usually think of when I think MLB. Also, I think it's a lot easier to take advantage of a bad MLB then a bad SS. Just my two cents.

Hardest
Offense: Physically OL, Mentally QB
Defense: Physically DL, Mentally MLB

Easiest
Offense: WR
Defense: CB

While all are very difficult and face different challenges, you see more success from skill position players.

DL is hardest because not only do you need the technique but you need to get bigger and stronger (which takes time) or else all you have is a speed rush that plenty of Jr. and Sr. O-lineman have seen before.

Every position but QB, OL, and DL is easy to play right out of high school.

Oline is the hardest, going against grown men on the other side that have trained sometimes 3-4 years longer than you have

Offense LT in CFB/ QB in the NFL
With the new RPO spread offenses it's easier for Freshman to come in and play well with 7 on 7 huge now and in spread offenses not that many reads like pro style offenses.. That's why u see guys like Frohm Hurts, **** even Kaaya have good true freshman years..
LT have to face the best and often quickest DL and be able to handle 20-23 year old grown men on the line as 18 year olds.. And know all the blitz schemes.
Easiest is RB you either have it or you don't.. Easiest in the NFL too.. Guys come in as freshman and dominate a lot as freshman..

Defense Hardest is CB in the NFL as well... Defense already at a disadvantage with the new soft rules and turning your hips and backpeddling is harder then u think lol...
Easiest is DE...

Generally speaking, the farther you get from the middle of the line of scrimmage the easier it is to make an early impact.

So I'd say WR and CB are the easiest to make an early impact.

DT, QB, center are the toughest because of the physical demand on the line and the mental part of QB.

That's not different from any other position. All freshmen are going against players that have trained sometimes 3-4 years longer than they have. Right? But I get your point.
