Surgery for Mali

Rally For Mali
could be a blessing in disguise. that ankle was bothering him all year long. he was going to be limping on it the rest of the way. him getting the rest, recovery, and the fix to that ankle before a possible ACCCG appearance is the best scenario going forward. a healthy mali is most important for our shot at a title. average recovery time is within 30 days and thats a return to field. an FSU player returned within 20 days from this procedure. this is more efficient than RICE and wearing a boot in terms of healing it.

You named a particular player (you are not the only one) and attributed blame to him, even if you think you didn't. When has it EVER been necessary to name the Miami player involved in a tackle that injured another Miami player? Go ahead and search his name and see how many jackals are giving him **** for "injuring" Malachi. It needs to stop.
im actually relieved hes getting that same ankle finally fixed and healthy before a possible postseason run.

it was going to be nagging the entire season.

There’s no blessing in disguise.

This is devastating. And realistically ruins hope of winning the title.

I still think we can win the ACC. But the reason this team could do anything of offense was cuz ANY PLAY we needed he could make. TDs. Long third downs. Clutch catch. Everything.

Offense is going to have to drastically change. Run the ball. Use the tight ends. Longer drives.

It’s hard to change the entire offense when you had a cheat code all season.

I have hope. And anything can happen. But no team can survive losing a player like this that wants to win a title. It’s a harsh truth.

IF Miami wins the ACC and gets a CFP bye their first CFP game would be December 30. That means that Toney would be back in time to play in the CFP.

This offense is not going to have to change. You’re acting like 2024 never happened. The offense being run is Dawson’s offense, and every slot in Dawson’s offense eats. Every time Dawson has a QB like Mensah, his offenses put up crazy numbers. You can go all the way back to West Virginia with Geno Smith and Tavon Austin to see that.

Now, let’s be clear, nobody is Mali. Nobody is replacing what he brings to this offense. But Mali being out does not mean this offense is going to stop being explosive. As long as Mensah is playing quarterback, this offense is going to be just fine.

I know this is going to sound crazy because it’s Malachi but I think this might be a blessing in disguise. These dudes really think we’re not going to move the ball without him. Like stagnant cold! Mali is generational but anybody who’s watched this team knows that’s not true.

Let them keep think that. We’ll still go in there and drop 40 on their heads.

dude relax. hes going to be back in a month tops. this isnt an invasive procedure. its more of a scope than actual surgery.

Does BYU have a Malichi Toney? Didnt think so and they took it to ND.

Ppl have to stop being so ***** (not aimed at everyone). We can still beat ND and the rest on pur schedule. We still have dogs. The oline is playing better, dogs at RB, #1 Heisman QB, 1k yard receiver, and a good stable of TEs.

And Mali will be back when we need him. Ppl need to stop saying season is over, its so *****.

Why do you think he had the surgery done yesterday?

I didn't say that you did, though I acknowledge the wording was poor. I was saying it like "why do you think he had the surgery done yesterday, it was so he could recover as quickly as possible".

All good.

I won’t out my self personally.

But I know plenty about the procedure and what he’s going to go through.

I don’t think we should plan on seeing him until the playoffs. At least at 100 percent

We’re disrespecting the other 21 starters on the team with this negative “we’re going to lose” and “season’s over” talk. Sure, Mali’s a gem, a strategically advantageous player to have. I’ll even add, we’re so fortunate to have him. But give credit to the rest of the team, coaches and system in place, that got us here. We’ll be fine. We’ll win as a team, or lose as a team. We’ve just got to play on as we are built to.
