Super Regional @ Louisville -- Schedule and Discussion

So I was pretty spot on. I think RPI seriously overrates Knoxville and Corvallis. Especially Knoxville. Must have had Wake way too high.
Some jump way up like FSU if you fully remove the 4 seed. But that punishes regions with strong 4 seeds too much imo. As we saw it's not like 4 seeds can't eliminate higher seeds...

I know JD doesn't like to make changes when we're winning, but I have to believe Peralta will be PH for if he starts again and is having ABs like he had on Monday.

Great. Hi Rudy..here some advice on behalf of most UM fans…

Maybe you should take your bum**** *** back to politics (like that’s some ringing endorsement - they’re all crooks and **** people for the most part) and get away from the Univ of Miami as fast as possible. Thanks!
not rudy, comepintura. i have met him numerous times in passing but he's not a friend nor an acquaintance. just wondering what your beef with him is? serious question

sorry. confused renzo and piralta. if we sub for piralta's bat that would leave him as a fantastic late inning defensive replacement, hopefully, we'll be in the lead.

I'm not saying anyone is wrong being a JD haters btw. I'm just stating a fact that no matter how much anyone thinks he isn't a guy that'll get us close to a championship he's gonna be here 5+ years...

"5+ years" will be determined in 2026.

There is no one more critical of JD than me. And honestly not him personally, but the people who gave him a job he clearly didn't deserve. So I am fully on the record, both feet directly in the paint, that it was an atrocious hire and will end badly. Obviously, as a life-long supporter of the program, I hope I'm flat-on-my-*** wrong. Clearly. But that's how I feel.

However, as I just said in another thread, while 4 days in Hattiesburg doesn't erase the stench of 2 seasons, you cannot ignore results. At this school, you're judged from regionals on. Making a regional is non-negotiable. It should happen in your sleep. Winning one should be almost regular. And making Omaha should be frequent. That's the standard here. So, again while I feel the best move for the program in the long-run would be to fire JD the minute the season ends, even I can admit that by winning a regional, he afforded himself another year. I think it's to the determent of the health of the program, long-term. But he found a way to win a regional, and that shouldn't be completely dismissed, so, for better or worse, he should be here next year. And it's all moot because his besties weren't going to fire him anyway, even if we lost last night.
I don’t necessarily think this sentiment is lost on a guy who went to Omaha all 4 years he was a player.
