Sun Life Renovations Begin

[hoops156]

What a great environment for college football. I like how, in lots of those shots, many of the animated fans aren't watching the game. They even have couches that face away from the field.

its a pro stadium. get over it.

Well many of the "real" fans aren't watching the game either so it makes sense

[Savage Cane]

wish they would change these walkways. the design is terrible and the painting on the outside is also terrible

Google Romero Britto. The painting on the side was done by probably the most famous and recognizable artist in Miami.

Stevie Wonder can see better than this Romero Britto.

Let Stevie Wonder paint it next time.

Romero Brito is a mediocre artist. I hate that corny **** walking into the coliseum. I miss the rust & spilled bear as I made my way up to my seats.

[Savage Cane]

I'd kill to see Stevie design the facade.
I'd be an upgrade, but it wouldn't impress me.

Most of all of the pix come from here, and you don't need an account to view.

[canestim]

Yep you can see all at https://twitter.com/tomgarfinkel like 4th said. But I'll update to keep the thread/discussion going if anyone is still interested or doesn't like going to the Twitters.

Footings coming in for new sideline stands... The ghost of Georgia Tech remains.

[canestim]

Been out for a while but figured I'd update so we can talk about something else other than Coach D's gut, Al's gut, etc.

One of those pictures kind of reminds me of Coach D's gut.

[dycane]

They really should've just torn the whole **** thing down and started from scratch.

[Don Caneleone]

Should have just built a new stadium in the parking lot then demo'd this one.

[can4life]

they need to bring the top row closer to the field

[Cane Dynasty]

Those colors just scream home field.

[The Franchise]

You guys can criticize this renovation, as it's your right. But I'd like to take a moment to thank UM for pumping hundreds of millions of hard-earned dollars into improvements like this. They're showing a real commitment to providing a great atmosphere for our fans and student-athletes, and they deserve a hearty round of applause.

[SpikeUM]

The seats are supposed to be an inch or two bigger?

[CaneTime01]

The bottom image shows just how much closer the first row will be to the field. Will look much better on TV, but the slope in the lower level is slight. Gonna suck if the guy in front of you has a big head

[svenben]

Its 24 feet closer on both sidelines. Will help but still very far away. You can see the sideline in the endzone.
