Don’t really get how this is that relevant to Miami. Hetherman doesn’t two gap his DTs.
Just because he did that at Minnesota doesn't mean he'll do that here.
Actually good coaches have play call and adjust systems based on talent and players.
His 4i would be great with Scott and Moten at DT, but with Blay you can use either at 1tech or 3tech.

Has any team ever won anything doing this? Its such a dumb *** strategy. Make one guy starter and bench his *** if he stinks. That simple.

The game is too dependent on chemistry to keep changing QBs every other series.

I don’t necessarily see it as a long term strategy but for perhaps one game why not?

It forces the defense to have to adjust instead of settling in to a specific style. And it’s not like Minchey can’t throw at all. If he’s in the game as a run threat it might open some pass plays they can take advantage of.

It’s not a common technique from nickel to have DTs two gap. Typically you have the DL and LBs responsible for one gap each.

I didn’t watch a lot of Ohio State last year because I hate them and hate watching them, but they had elite DTs and to do that effectively and consistently is not easy

With 2 4is, you would have a Mike taking the responsibility of two gapping A, not a nose or DT.

Shortest path is the 4i, makes sense why you want a monster at Mike, i.e., Toure. But seems more beneficially if you're a team that's a front runner.

I agree I thinking two gapping sucks, but even in a one gap scheme, someone is responsible for two gaps or at least taking on a double, usually a NT.

I mean, the defense can't get worse then last year, can it?

His videos are fine but not a fan of how he talks through them like he’s a know it all and acts cute about it. It gets annoying quick. I’ll take Roffers write ups over this all day.
