Family, I've never been in a position like this before. I've been following the Canes since 87 and I never felt like this before. I find myself rooting for and against my team at the same time due to this coaching regime. I know some of you have followed the Canes a lot longer than I have, but I'm not sure if any felt like this yester year as well. Am I the only one feeling like I'm stuck between a rock and a hard spot w/ this team? It feels weird to admit that I'm secretly rooting against my team in order for changes to be made.

I love when my canes win they arent firing golden win or lose. I want the players to have big games and love being a cane. The real question is whos the next president and are they a football fan and then will he fire blake james if he doesnt make the needed changes.

I've been a fan since 1951. The last 6 games of last year were the most frustrated I have ever been while watching the Canes. Total disgust is the only way to put it. And I decided after the Penn St. fiasco that I never want to hear Al Golden say anything ever again.

OTOH I never pull for UM to lose, ever.

I can't bring myself to root against the canes, ever. Been a fan since the late 70s, and seen some really bad before the really good. I wish we would win most games like in embarrassing fashion like 82-81 in 5 OTs. I feel for the players, but the coaching staff, sans one or two of them, is the most throwing the players under the bus and trust in a pure **** system coaching staff I have seen in my life.

Just my opinion, but to me, if you find yourself considering rooting for the Canes to lose, for any reason at all, I would prefer you give away all of your Cane gear and go follow the Gators or the Noles. These kids are at the U, giving their all for Miami football. Like the coaches or not, anyone who roots for us to lose has no business referring to themselves as a Cane fan.

These threads always provide a great opportunity for the better fans to tell everyone how evolved they are. I'm sure they'd never pull for their 1-14 NFL team to tank the last game of the season either in order to get the #1 pick in the draft. They're salt of the earth guys, and they're better than all you dudes out there who think you want what's best long-term for the program they love more than you do.
