He’s probably about the only poster who seriously remembers that call. (I had to go on google to remember it.)

The call was on 3rd and goal from the Miami 5. All the call really meant is that Miami lost 20-13 rather than 16-13.

For everybody who misses Richt and thinks he was a good coach here: how do you think he would have done this year with Banda and Patke as co-DCs?

Both of those guys are awful position coaches. Imagine them with a promotion.

I think Richt would have gone 6-6 or even 5-7.

TBH, I wish Richt had stayed this year. Partly because Manny probably would have flopped too badly at Temple to get the Miami job.

But also because it would get rid of this odd and annoying nostalgia for Richt and the belief he was a good coach at Miami.
