Almost every interview from the media day players were mentioning how hard the program was. I really feel like the program held ya back the last few years.

One of the things I’m most excited about this year is seeing how the S&C program transformed our players. I think that a good program toughens the players and you don’t see them fold like they have the last couple of years.

Having a good S&C coach is vital to show guys how to work/show them their limit but it all comes down to want.

Swasey was an assistant there in the 90's and 2000, then became the head S&C coach since 2001. We've basically never had good strength and conditioning. I'm holding judgement on Feeley though and hope he can start turning things around.

They seem to talk about it a lot, and the focus on metrics is encouraging, but I doubt it makes much of a difference.

I was sceptical about the last staff because they came from the Penn State S&C mold. They used a lot of HIT principles with lots of reps, but not as much Strength and Power principles that Feeley uses.

The conditioning was apparently amped up a lot this off-season.

I thought it was strange he said "ya"
