It's a tradition like none other on CIS. The annual free streaming service thread. I haven’t seen it yet this year, so I guess I'll start it. Name the streaming service of choice to watch the games for free.

Ready and go...

Bump.

It’s time for this discussion again.

Legal options only, please.

Is this new ESPN bundle package deal any good?

Streameast was my go to. Now I do YouTube TV for 4 months or so. $50 for the first 3 months I think then shoot’s up to $80 a month. But I loved it last year, had 4 game box on if it wasn’t Canes game.

Why'd you drop streameast? Just curious

I use YTTV now because Fubo doesn’t have Turner channels for basketball, but strictly for football the below is the best route if you’re looking to save money and not deal with illegal streams ****ting out at the worst possible time

Use Fubo. When your free trial runs out (make sure you cancel) just put a period somewhere in your email address and sign up for a new free trial. I did this for months a couple of years ago until getting tired of not being able to have saved recordings when I started a new trial. But for strictly watching games it works.

Example, when you do your first trial use your normal email, we’ll say “TwentySix@gmail.com”. At the end of the trial, do a new one with “Twenty.Six@gmail.com”. Gmail doesn’t track periods within emails so you’ll get them all sent to your regular email regardless. You could put “T.w.e.n.t.y.S.i.x@gmail.com” and it would still go the inbox of TwentySix@gmail.com when they send the verification email

YoutubeTV is the best of the main ones to choose from if you're actually trying to pay and I don't think it's particularly close. You'll get access to watch ESPN. And Multiview is great now that you can pick your own game groupings.

IPTV with a vpn (though probably not even needed tbh, most are https now anyways). I mean "illegal"... but so is speeding 5mph over the limit. One of those things would cost you a couple hundred bucks, and one saves you a couple hundred bucks while the only actual downside is choosing a **** provider that maybe scams you or just has constantly buffering service... IPTV is like $5-$15/month for PPV and every channel you could imagine, and most have VOD included.

Theres also countless free streaming websites that you could use and just cast to the tv. If you wanna get real grimy you could just Use TempEmail to create throwaway Emails and Privacy.com to create virtual cards with a $3 Limit (or whatever you choose. But low enough to do the verification charge sites usually try to do for subscritpions), and just keep signing up for Free week/month long trials and cancelling before you are charged lol.

No reason to clog up your actual email with all that tbh. Only need it for verification links basically. And this lets you set your email to anythign you want (so if you need to reset password at later date you can still do that)

Just was always a hassle man. Nothing worse than being excited for the Canes and then you deal with crappy links or buffering. Especially when it would drop off during the game. YouTube tv ain’t cheap but it’s got ACCN, SEC, Big10, ESPN1/2/U. All the channels I want for CFB. I’m just at the point where I’ll bite the bullet and pay the price to enjoy it. Plus I’ve never have buffering problems on YouTube tv

Not wrong. I just try to keep it as simple as possible anytime this comes up because I figure most people that are savvy enough to do all that already have streaming figured out.

Agreed things like Streameast are my “in case of emergency break glass” options

YouTube tv is legit. I use Hulu Live (or whatever they call it these days) and it’s got a lot of options as they’ve done this whole merger with Disney/ESPN. It can be a huge pain in the *** as well though

Someone on here mentioned Breaking Cable, said it has been reliable. I will be trying that out. It's one of those "every channel and pay per view" things and runs like $70 for 6 months.

A lot of times you can just type in the names of the 2 teams playing + Live into regular YouTube and something will turn up…did that for a few of our games last year.

Has anyone tried DirecTv Stream with the choice package? $71/month, includes CBS, ABC, ESPN, TNT, ACCDN, SECN, BIG10N, BIG12N, etc... and includes all the local stuff which is nice for hockey season for those who are panthers fans (i dont think Youtube TV does).

Day Pass by Sling TV—as low as $4.99
It appears to be the Orange package. Which has ESPN, ESPN2, ESPN3 and ESPN4K.
