Strangest place you've run into a Miami fan

I live about 20 minutes from Tallahassee so any time I see another Canes fan is a good day. The best time was on my way to Tallahassee one day, a truck was trying to keep speed with me and I finally looked over to see him throwing up The U because he had seen my Miami tag and sticker on my truck. We stopped at a red light and rolled down the windows and he said “go canes” and rode off into the sunset.
What city near Tallahassee? I grew up about 40 miles west of Tally. I will actually be headed to my hometown area for a family reunion next week.

40 miles west? There's nothing there. Except I drove through and there was this small town called Panacea. I don't know if it was deserted or populated.

3 days ago in Madrid, Spain. I threw up the U and he threw it back. He was probably from the US though.

Giving me a hummer last night....I dig chicks who were already hardcore Canes fans before I met them....

I was doing a project in Melbourne, Australia with a French colleague. He and our client started talking European soccer and the client asked me who I rooted for.

I told him I didn’t watch much soccer and was mostly a college football fan. He asked who and when I said Miami, he goes “THE U!!!!” ... I guess he had watched the 30 for 30 online and Miami was just about the only college football team he knew! I told him to keep it that way!

Sydney, Australia! Couple of years back was walking around the city wearing a CANES sweater and had some locals come up to me and start chanting "Is all about THE U"! They asked where I was from, said MIAMI and the rest of the night we spent at a bar drinking!!!! Said they'd been fans since the late 90's!

Met a guy in NYC who said he knew Bennie back I the days. I was doing a hike during Memorial Day this year in LA, and 2 chicks said they were alums. It’s crazy how big the brand is.

Been to various countries and have bumped into people sporting the U.
Barcelona, Spain
Paris, France
Shanghai, China
Buenos Aires, Argentina

This is odd.
Just this past Friday I was at my local community fitness center swimming pool in the Chicago suburbs.
I was representing with my giant green "U" Towel wrapped around myself and some dude in the locker room says "nice towel".
Me thinking it was some Big 10 weirdo I thought maybe he was being sarcastic.

However, I looked around and it was a guy who pointed to his "U" polo shirt and he lifted up the U :11263272045-489f4f7972-o:.
I said it is all about the "U" and we briefly talked about the season and this upcoming season.

Was an unexpected moment to talk to a fellow Canes fan here in Chicago. Refreshing really.

Went to the Jason Aldean bar in Nashville for the LSU UM game last year and ran into a fan there so we watched the game together for a little
