I've been a Canes fan for over 40 years. Since the George Mira days, although I do not consider myself an old person at all. I still bleed Orange and Green and still find myself disecting plays and rewinding plays back and forth however this is not about me, it is instead about our football program and the mistakes our "So Called Leaders" continue to make. When MR was announced as our new Head Coach, my heart just sunk. All you had to do is look at his football history and why UGA fired him. He is the nicest guy ever however he is just not a consistent winner. Never won a championship. Same goes for Golden, Shannon, etc., etc. So who are these highly paid dumb asses at UM that continue to make these GD stupid mistakes? I do not consider myself to be a smart man, but I feel I could have done a better job than them, free of charge! In my opinion true Leaders are not just simply made, they are born that way. I've met MR and in my opinion he is not a true leader. I've met Butch Davis and he is a true Leader, so is Saban, Meyer, Dan Mullen. Do you guys remember when our Administration interviewed Dan Mullen for our current head coaching position? Read the info from back then, They thought he was too ****y!! Look at what he has done at UF in his first year!! News flash UM Admin, true Leaders are GD ****y. Look at Saban, Meyer, etc. Saban will never go to Haven but he sure will surely take several National Championship rings with him to ****!

News flash Al Golden and Mark Richt. When your Team does not do well, it is not their fault. It is yours. That's how true Leaders handle adversity.

I've met and spoken to Butch Davis. In his eyes you see true Leadership, passion for football, passion for UM, passion for the city of Miami, passion for UM fans, passion for south Florida kids, begging for a chance to finish things right at UM.. So what went wrong with his interview at UM? Was he also too GD ****y?

Our Administration keeps stepping on its own ****s and not feeling the pain. When are we going to learn from the basic principles of our World- What works? What doesn't work and what do we need to do to improve our Football Program!

Some of us are either just incompetent or unable to learn from history.

The pain and anguish are just too unbareable for me. May be, just maybe I just love the U too much. A **** of a lot more than the UM Admin that keeps making these stupid mistakes every 3-4 years.

Stop rooting for coaches and fans needs to stop tying themselves to coaches until they win big...........its fun to get excited but calm that **** down. We all here root for whats on the helmet and thats it.............I like Butch because I know hes a results guy and wont play that BS favoritism down here he gets down and dirty with the best of them. We need a guy like Butch to restore the program.......thing is do the people up top want to win? and are they smart enough to make the right hire? Recent history tells us they will make the wrong choice again. Im almost completely done following the team im hanging by a string, they hurt me too many times and they show they dont want to win by making wrong hire after wrong hire. It sucks

Sam Jankovich gambled on Jimmy Johnson. Not because he consistently won at OSU, but because his teams there never gave up. Jimmy could guage talent and he recruited players based upon where he saw them in our system. He routinely made players great in positions they never played in HS. Plus, Jimmy really liked his players and that was evident to almost every home he went in to recruit a player. He was honest and not a bull shttr.

We don't have to go after proven winners. we have to find coaches that are creative, determined, have fire in their belly and are willing to win at all cost. They are out there....where's Sam?

Negative, Ghostturd.

UM and Butch had to redo the contract. Butch's agent/attorney like all other coaches - did the back and forth negotiation crap. It was going well, and it was also getting down to the wire.

Butch thought they had a deal - thought it was as good as done.

Them UM, knowing the deadline was imminent - decided to slow-play Butch - to gain a better position. It's a risky move - but sometimes it works when the other party has no other options.

Right then, Cleveland for the second time threw a lot of money in his face. So like Schnellenberger and JJ - he took it.

Jimmy Johnson was really fed up with the Admin bullschitt he was subjected to while he was Head Coach - and once he got his NC, he was weary of the UM Admin crap - and HE took a powder.

Here's a little secret - eventually - everyone leaves. Eventually.

Bruh, I convinced myself Rick would want to prove something to college football and a change of scenery would do the trick. I think the BOT thought the same. We all got fooled. Rick isn't hellbent on winning, he is hellbent on proving that he can win if he just keeps doing what he is doing, only harder.
