Straight from the Enos's Mouth - Hee Haw

You have to be kidding me. I mean maybe there is hope for us tho. We are paying a coordinator that much im shocked. No wonder why he wont be let go in his first season. I believe manny didnt get a 6 year deal or anything this will be very easy to move on from if he dosent get it done next year
IMO Enos is gone after the bowl game.

True story:

So my grandfather (R.I.P) used to own some apts right where they are building the new football stadium for The Rams/Chargers (just sold them and made $$$$). Thank God they built a stadium literally w/in walking distance of this spot b/c it was became a dump.

It didn’t start that way; they were actually some of the most sought after units b/c of the locale to the beach, frwy, Great Western Forum (former home of The Lakers), and the shear amount of schools nearby. It was a gold mine.

Well, over a period of time, my grandfather became cheap. He fired his plumber and carpenter all to save $. Jobs that required nuts and bolts, he literally substituted w grease and duck tape. What was once a sought after unit, started to fall apart and he started losing tenants and thus $. As other owners were remodeling their units to make them more modern, my grandfather kept his as an 60’s model.

While other owners were able to increase their rent b/c of their investment in to their units, my grandfather literally couldn’t, and he and my grandmother were leaking money. It cost more to repair the worn down building than the rents collected. My aunt & I we’re able to finally intervene, got their affairs in order, and that’s when & only then they made a huge profit.

My point is, Miami is a lot like the story I just shared. Once upon a time, we were a great destination. But instead of maintaining things w nuts and bolts (i.e reinvesting in the program, hiring a competent AD w AD experience at a successful G5 or P5 school, hiring an outside of the box proven coach or coordinator from a successful program, etc.), they became lazy, cheap, entitled, and used duck tape (i.e hiring a ticket collector at a school w no sports history to run our AD, hiring an associate AD who specializes in liberal rights, hiring unproven to burnt out coaches, etc) to fix big problems.

Results? We are losing money, they just don’t realize it b/c of the “guaranteed” money from the ACC, the program has fallen apart, spending more $ to fix problems that could’ve easily been resolved (see the OP), and are losing top recruits b/c of these decisions. While other programs have upgraded, we are stuck in the past. Hopefully someone will intervene b4 it’s too late.
**** that's long. Can't really focus, maybe it's cause of my 15TH BEER

I know this goes against popular opinion but I hope Enos can figure this thing out and turn this O around.

He is trusted as a good QB coach and as a result, is bringing in a highly rated QB. If you can consistently lure a top QB every recruiting cycle your odds of winning go up exponentially if you don't then pretty good chance you will suck.

Needs to start by scoring some points against LaTech.
God, enough of the QB guru BS. I watched his QBs miss guys running wide open all year. Taking sacks they shouldn't take. Going slow when we needed clock. They can't read a D to save their lives. If he's a QB whisperer, maybe he needs to start speaking a **** of a lot louder.

When this came on, I always turned the channel as a kid. There weren’t main options but I couldn’t deal with country anything.
I had no choice. My grandmother was a country girl that ended up in Miami and that **** was on every Sunday night without fail. If you changed the channel on Hee Haw in my house you were asking for trouble.

Go Canes!!!!!!

My Mom had one of those huge cabinet stereo's and when she cleaned house on Saturday mornings, she'd crank that thing up with Charlie Pride and George Jones. Needless to say, I wasn't home much on Saturday mornings.

This is what stealing $1MM+ looks like with impunity. Buyout must be north of 50% of the balance of his contract. An I am thinking Barry recieved the same structured deal. So getting rid of him and Coach Barry will cost Miami at least $3MM , ouch plus Manny 's $4MM to Temple. In two years Manny will have cost UM almost $10MM. Not to mention the next OC & OL Coach will want a 80%-100% guaranteed contract after this Enos debacle.

Go Canes

Why would Manny wait until after the Bowl game to fire Enos?

1) Waiting for another lackluster game plan on offense in the bowl game, maybe he hasn’t seen enough.
2) He already has his guy and they are in a bowl game as well.
3) He has no plans to fire Enos.

The thing about drawing parallels is that they keep going for ever and never come to a point. 🤓

Yet again how do we continue to make coaching choices like this!!!

In this case, Enos torched Diaz’s defense when they were in the SEC together. Bad way to judge a coordinator. On the positive side though, they aren’t BFFs (like Banda and Patke) so Manny shouldn’t hesitate to let him go. Whether he has the balls to make a big change like that is yet to be seen.
