Stop it with the FIRE MANNY stuff...

How are loses to VT and G Tech inexcusable when they have won the coastal more times than us since 2004. We have one coastal win since 2004.

I didn't know that drinking out of the toilet caused brain damage, but apparently you are living proof. Miami lost to two of the worst teams in the ACC AT HOME. Georgia Tech was 1-5 coming into today. They lost to the freaking Citadel. Miami just lost to that.

If Manny wants people to stop talking about peopke firing him, I can tell him the quickest way to make that happen. I can also tell him the second quickest way.

You sound like you really know what you’re talking about. I agree with most of what you say. So what in your mind is realistic? There’s no way he can salvage this thing after it goes just as bad next season right? What happens if the world turns on its axis and Urban calls to say he wants the job?

Just have to hit on a coach. I don't think we'll ever come back unless that happens. Urban is a pipedream.

Times have changed and there's an arms race at the top. We are so far behind in every regard besides our local talent it isn't even funny.

So in short, a coach. Want is an offensive coach who will get the locals excited and play to their strengths.

Not really if it’s just another yes man/puppet.

Agree, but maybe the next guy has an eye for talent and knows how to manuever the pieces to get things done.

The more alumni and money you have coming in, the more powerful and AD can be. We don't have a lot of alumni or money, so that's why it's the way it is. The gaps between haves and have nots is so far apart from our glory days, it really makes me question if it'll ever happen again.

Solid offensive mind, that'll do wonders for wins and losses with this talent base. The rest can then fall into place if we can keep that coach or keep it rolling with the next.

Name a school that cut a coach after one season?

be realistic... replace the AD... manny ***** the bed again and the new AD will feel like this was never his guy and needs to get someone who is
Oklahoma fired our beloved Howard Schnellenberger after one season- the 1995 season

We tried telling @FlatlandCane ....if he tells me Manny is a savage one more ***n time I'm gonna lose it.
***** was a pos at Texas. Everyone was all excited about his defense. Why? They had watched turkey **** Onofrio no D and it was an improvement, but far from what it should be. Wished Flake had let him go to temple. Now I hope Flake gets fired for being stupid.

Problems are beyond Manny Diaz!

It's our Athletic Department and you have to admit it!
When you have the same guy hiring all these coaches and throwing money down the drain which is killing this football program.
I get that Blake James has improved our facilities and overall donations but at what price? What does 3 or 4 rights do when your getting
the most important thing wrong everytime? Is it not evident? if not please prove me wrong.

Blake James Tenure

  • Buys out Al Golden to Hire Mark Richt.
  • Extends Mark Richt prematurely.
  • Richt retires, Blake panics and rushes to hire Diaz dishing out 4 Million to Temple to do so.

Whats next? Another extension if we win these next 5 games and make a quick lane bowl?

The root of the problem isn't Manny Diaz it's at the top. Get rid of Blake James

Easy solution. Fire everyone involved.

The easiest solution is to hire a new AD. He probably wouldn’t fire Manny, but he’d find out what was wrong, ie investigate all his assistants, find out of it was a coaching issue, talent issue, or an experience issue with each player, give Manny a chance to remedy, and then give him 1-2 years to fix it. If the team trends in the right direction, then great. If not, then terminate Manny.

The AD could bring in his own coach at that point.

Have you not noticed that last 15 years of UM football. How long is it going to take for some of you to realize we are not a dominant

College coaches usually always get an extension when they have 3 years or less left on their contract to help in recruiting. The coach needs to be able to tell a kid that he will be there for his 4 years at the University.

Manny has at least another year. I want him to succeed because I want to win again. I don’t know if that’s going to happen, but I think he needs to cut Enos loose, revamp recruiting so we get as close as possible to 85 schollys, focus on rebuilding that O Line, and reevaluate Baker. Oh and find a fu&&ing kicker! That’s a LOT of work and I’m not sure if Manny can do all that in one year. But right now the Canes are a lower tier team in the ACC. Let that sink in.

I agree with a lot of the stuff posted here. Listen we have done the "fire this coach' and "fire that coach". It hasn't worked. No coach is winning here, not even Coker who started with the best team ever assembled. There is something ORGIZATIANLLY wrong the University of Miami. Coach Richt came the closest but could not fire his son. If Coach Diaz is let go right now, today is there ANYTHING that would lead you to believe the UM organization will make better decisions with hires? No... nobody is going to win here because there is something at some level wrong with UM. Coach Diaz will not be fired after one year. He should get at least a second year at this. But if Diaz gets shown the door we will just get someone else to come for a few years to yell at and blame. It is the University that is the problem. Other schools can win and be good academically. So can we, we just have something wrong at some level. It does not take 20 years to come back! Until there is a change in the University of Miami we are dry-humping each other on this board waiting to be back.

Manny could resign tomorrow and decline the remainder of his contract, and I would still expect that James's first call would be to Greg Schiano. Sadly, that would still be a massive upgrade over what we have now.

But it would yield Al Golden type results and Schiano would be called to be fired by year two. While an improvement, still garbage. What this porgram needs to address is why Richt could average well over 9 wins a season in the SEC and have a 7 win season his final year here against the crappy ACC Costal.
