I was one of those that was at least a little worried when Colbie Young left because I wasn’t sure if Horton was ready. I felt better when we got Brown, but Horton is ready.Horton showed he is all grown up today.

I think the DE group stock up based off what we heard from practice notes, but using Mesidor in the middle unlocked some nuances that I thought was only possible in the video game. So yes, stock is still going up!Baron and Alston stock is a buy now!
100%..he needs to get his ***** together!Borreagales scares the crap out of me TBH, nitpicking as you said, but dude come'on...maybe it was the holder or snap?
Regarding fg unit, I thought the snaps were bad multiple times. Holder did a good job of getting the ball down but didn't look like he got a chance rotate the lacesThis is all instant reaction so take with grain of salt.
Stock up:
1. Cam Ward - This guy is the goods. I said in the projections thread this team has all the makings of a team that will be 12-0 heading into the ACC championship game, well this guy has all the makings of a guy that will be in New York at years end. Cool as a cucumber and an alpha among alphas.
2. The trenches - they came out and dominated on both sides. The Oline kept Ward clean. Cam has to love the space he has to work with in the pocket. Baron is a monster. Alston, Barrow and Mesidor all did work today. Good stuff. And whats scary is that the dline was without Bain for the majority of the game.
3. Playcalling - I’ve been lukewarm on Dawson in the past and the playcalling in the beginning didn’t do a lot to convince me otherwise. But once we got to midfield under 2 min, it was like a switch was flipped, the floodgates opened and there was plays for days out there. I think there is something to Dawson growing confidence in Ward as the game progresed and I think this could be the beginning of an exciting year on the offensive side of the ball, which is something we havent had for quite some time.
Stock down - really nitpicking here, but
1. Sam Brown - I get that he is still getting acclimated to the team, but a couple of his missed opportunities seemed to be due to effort. That won’t fly for long, especially with Horton coming on strong. Chalk it up to first week nerves, but can’t have that happen again, especially when the NFL is the goal.
2. Borreagales - He’s not his brother. Makes me nervous, but hopefully we won’t find ourselves in a must make it moment.
3. Injuries - The biggest stock down goes to injuries. Hopefully the next couple weeks will allow us to get healthy and give some guys some burn and build up game experience.
All in all, this went better than most of us could have hoped for. Celebrate tonight fellas and feel free to drink in those Gator tears.
Go Canes!

Sam Brown will be fine. Threw a nice block on rushing TD - believe it was Fletcher. This is all instant reaction so take with grain of salt.
