Elon has been known to grossly overestimate the speed of change.

Humans will have to accept the change. Sure some may love the app less operating system less world but the majority will want to retain their old methods of interacting. Thus, the first change will be Ai interacting with the apps and data. That has been a massive challenge which takes tons of development work.

Some older apps won’t get updated for AI so they either get replaced or need to be supported in some form.

even if we do go the route of the AI node, someone will need to produce the hardware and figure out ways to backwards support older software for users that won’t go fully Ai.
