Off-Topic Stock Market & Crypto Discussion

We will lose them. It’s too expensive, especially in South Florida. Prices will drop.
We should be bending over backwards to keep them here.
Hawaii, San Francisco, and New York City have had housing costs far out of line with the rest of the country for as far back as I can remember. Prices have not dropped, especially not because Canadians didn't move there. I still see motor homes that cost more than a house driving down here with Canadian plates, so I think we'll be fine.

I will be looking at buying opportunities if the Dow dips under 40k.

Hawaii, San Francisco and NYC are different markets.
We may not lose many Canadians that already have homes, condos and trailer pk. Homes or facilities, but it will affect the future home buyers if our relationship sours. Mexico has large Canadian populations and is cheaper.

Demand currently exceeds supply. We'll be fine.

I fully encourage Canadians moving to Mexico. If they want to buy instead of rent, they'll need a trust since foreigners are prohibited from buying in desirable areas.

I would love to have had the same employer for 26 years.

Why is that?
Because 26 years ago I had an awesome job at a company I loved. Problem was that it got bought by a larger company with a complementary product. Office politics came into play and they put an ******* from the UK office in charge. The company is effectively gone now after another sale to an even larger company who only wanted the complementary product, not the one with the smaller, steady recurring profit.
