Off-Topic Stock Market & Crypto Discussion

SpaceX ipo news getting crazy.

Seems like it may already be a done deal that SpaceX and X/Xai will merge before it IPOs. And it’s well j own he’s wanted to merge Tesla and SpaceX forever now.

This may end up closer to $2T IPO.

Musk is trying to consolidate all his businesses. Not sure he’d ever be able to get Tesla and SpaceX under the same umbrella, but it’s absolutely what he’d want.

Ultimately SpaceX and Xai make sense because the long-term plan is SoaceBased data centers and Starlink, and that profit going toward funding Mars settlement and further space exploration …. BUT Tesla is the manufacturing + Robot provider that enables a lot of the super long-term space plans he has. And ultimately Tesla has the Solar+Batteries that anre critical AND he has Tesla doing the Inference compute and started it on its own chip design and soon manufacturing… which is what SpaceX will use for its space Data centers…and Xai will be what is used for the intelligence in the robots… it all goes together….

**** even his BoringCompany it’s entirely about digging tunnels for EVs to be used inside to travel and the long-term plan is literally to transport those to mars because ultimately the environment is unlivable and you have to build colonies underground…

SpaceX next like 5 yrs is gunna be insane . It’s already the dominant WORLD launch provider, the dominant world sat operator, it’s already competing with ISPs, and the best military communication provider, and in2028 it’s going to heavily compete as a Global mobile network operator with the likes of AT&T/tmobile/etc. and Musk is 100% pivoted toward Space data Centers…

The markets are concerned about Trump’s Fed Chairman pick as he is a hawk on interest rates.

I have my fingers crossed that its that high, since I am a tiny investor, but a lot of it depends on the IPO market, which has been essentially dead since the pandemic but has roared back this year.

The IPO market will be big for SpaceX. I'd say $1.2T valuation is MOST likely and probably safe guess. $2T would be max if it acquired Xai... Even then that'd be hard to reach ..

I'd actually expect Tesla to drop as people sell that to add SpaceX

So, after IPO?
If it happens... Yes, I'd imagine. Otherwise it'd probably need Tesla to be the one acquiring SpaceX+Xai right now...

idk if it ever will, just that would be the ultimate goal. And it also makes the most sense. I'd actually say it makes more sense for Tesla to acquire Xai then SpaceX. But as of now both Tesla and SpaceX already have made like $2B investments into it.

Apple (AAPL) reported its first quarter earnings on Thursday, beating Wall Street's expectations on the top and bottom lines, on strong iPhone sales.

Apple's iPhone revenue topped out at an all-time record of $85.3 billion in the quarter, well ahead of the $78.3 billion analysts were anticipating. The company recorded iPhone sales of $69.1 billion in the same quarter last year.
Makes me sick every time I think about it. My dad bought about 15k in Apple stock 15-20 years ago. There was that huge split in 2014, then another in 2020, until that 15k had turned into almost 300k. When he got sick in 2024 and knew he was dying he panicked and cashed out. I believe this was also back when the stock wasn’t doing so well and was under $190 a share. Not only that, but I had to pay almost 30k in capital gains tax last year. I’m going to get back into investing again but for now I wanted something safe and stress free so I went to the bank yesterday and dropped 175 into a 4% CD. I should be able to make something in those 5 months, and when the term is up I’ll see where I’m at mentally. It’s been a rough 18 months losing both parents and haven’t really felt like investing.
