Am not buying any here cause I own way too freaking much already, but this does seem like a great time to add NVDA if ur underweight or don't own any for crazy reasons. Listening to Burry has been a great way to have lost money since the one time he was right.

Grok told me to sell some AAPL if it hits $280. It likes my MRK and suggests to add 10%.

From Grok for my top 6 holdings:

“Recommendations

• Hold Core: Retain all for long-term stability; trim AAPL if it hits $280 (near high) to rebalance.

• Monitor: BMY for trial fallout—consider swapping to PFE if pipeline weakens further. Watch WMT earnings (November 20) for holiday guidance.

• Enhance: Add 10-15% to MRK on its upgrade for value/dividend boost. For growth, overweight MSFT.

• Next Steps: Track Q4 earnings wave (e.g., BMY December). Consult a financial advisor for personalized allocation based on your risk tolerance.“

Amazon announced a new product Tuesday called “AI Factories” that allows big corporations and governments to run its AI systems in their own data centers. Or as AWS puts it: Customers supply the power and the data center, and AWS plunks in the AI system, manages it, and can tie it into other AWS cloud services.

Anyone jump on the Smx swing last week?
Pops bought in at $50 and sold at $55 before it ran to $400+

Changing topics.. 529 vs FL prepaid?
I’ve done 2 years tuition at a university for my daughter and plan is to pay for the same for my newborn son. Then debating throwing money in 529 for both vs doing 4 years paid off at a university..

I did a 529 for both of mine. I like being able to use it out of state or at a private university. What's nice is it can be used for housing, which is exactly what it's been used for since my daughter got Bright Futures.

Bright Futures is basically "funded" by the Florida Lottery, no? A million students helped? Very impressive. Wonder how many other States do that and, if they don't, why not??

How competitive is it to get Bright Futures money?

Florida handles public college education very well IMO.

Edit: Good grades and good SAT scores will do it. Alternatively, you can take 7 AICE classes in 3 years in high school and you're automatically qualified without test scores.

I recall when Lawton Chiles refused to sign the bill into law. Claimed poor people (the Lottery players) would be funding the education of rich Floridians' kids. Did he mean you? Just kidding. ;)

Glad it was funded and so successful.

Well, there are no income requirements at all. Get the grades, get the scores, get the scholarship.

Fortunately, my kids are better students than I was.

Well, my daughter sure was smarter than me. Not even close. Son and I pretty much on par. Very average grades in HS and not that much different in college but I guess we had other skills to compensate a bit.

The program seems very fair to me.

Quite a few states have something similar. I live in SC and we have the Palmetto fund. Lived outside of DC in VA for 20 years and they had programs too.
