Still shaking my head on why we let Horton get away...

GT game was the last time I talked to his pops

Why? So, we can hope to find a WR1 and pay a ton of money for when we had him on our team. I think he would have broken out this year and we needed him.
In short, why did we let him get away?
:neonu:

You’re heading into your draft eligible/money year and it’s looking like Emory Williams is going to be throwing you the ball… you just had a front row seat of him ****ing his pants in the bowl game, you just played with Cam Ward and the QB your team went all in on committed elsewhere.

Yeah I don’t like it but I see why he bounced.

Thought his asking price was higher than his worth, anticipated a market where we could replace him with an upgrade. You don’t let him walk if you think a draw is the best you could do.

Horton was a replaceable talent. Doesn’t mean we achieved the goal.

This! If we had a QB in place at the time, things likely would have been different. WRs want to know they'll have a competent QB to get them the ball.

That's one of the risks of getting QBs late in the Portal. By the time Beck was on board, WR options were disappearing.

Who’s the BAMA QB?

If you believe in the QB the way yall claim yall do, WR shouldn't be as much of a worry as yall have seem to make it all offseason.

A 1st round caliber QB elevates the WR talent we already have, thus not needing to expenditure significantly on ONE WR, when you can spend less & get two.
