Actually, Mario will fire Dawson or he will move on…Mario will land another “top” OC and we will be all excited with our new toy only to see Mario have him go conservative

We all saw those but I’m talking this year when people bought the hype of the early wins which were smoke in mirrors . I mentioned the red flags and people acted like I was negative Nancy

Oh yeah I know we got another probably 3-5 years of him. Hopefully that will show the admin that it’s good to invest but we can achieve more with someone else at HC. We’ll win 9-10 a year and never be real about competing with Mario. Teams undisciplined, they’re fake tough which seems to be what Mario is. Idk what else to say about him

You mean that we couldn’t pass it down field, ran in the A gap 60%, B gap 35%, and only mistaked the C gap when Beck handed off to Toney by mistake, our penalties continued at a rate that would hurt us, etc etc

The problem with how he coaches and plays is there is zero margin for error on a micro or macro level. If we get behind the sticks on a drive, it’s done, which isn’t great given how many penalties we get. Then we play so slow that just a couple of those drives spell doom on the game. It is maddening to watch him on the sidelines.

Because Mario is still living in caveman times where "a hat on a hat" philosphy works because the talent ratio is completely lopsided. There's too much parity these days. Scheme matters.
 
What’s funny about this game was it felt like we were running the ball well with zone runs and even the gut…

We then start trying to hit WR bubble screens for some reason which is usually when an offense is incapable of running out of normal sets you go to that and it was a dead play because guys like Bauman can’t block a dude even if he’s in a full body cast

Mario cant draw up a play..so his only use is recruiting..an coaching ol yet his ol likely had 10 penalties today and typically have 3-5 pre snap penalties a game?.

Basically him an the columbus dudes bullied their way in as they only would support him being the coach.

Everything I have complained about is what has actually killed us.

I have never - literally not once - defended any conservative philosophy out of Mario. It’s the exact oppposite strategy I always call for which is erring on aggression.

I also have been constantly *****ing about the TYPE OF RUNS, not just the fact we run or want to run. Like all last year even when it was working I was *****ing about our Oline splits general lack of spread.

As far as Mario’s decision making it started terrible, last year he was legit good in most decisions and aggressiveness - imo likely because of Cam. And this year he is right back to being a *****. Though 4th down decisions have at least still been decent. And all the timeout complaints is mostly people just judging result after a timeout. Most of the time that complaint is negligible.

And he is a good recruiter and I do think he gets more funding than any other coach we could have. So is what it is. We gotta hope he gets a concussion and becomes more aggressive or something.

It's like Russian roulette on offense. Buddy is putting the revolver to his dome and betting that what they are doing will work. Buddy has to be a bit slow and we have to be a bit crazy for thinking he would do anything different from what he has done for years. He is what he is man. I'm not mad I'm flustrated more than anything.

Red flags were everywhere the first year for anyone who wanted to see them. That year was an embarrassment of stubborness and refusal to adapt to what we had. Everything was blamed on the previous fired staff who won significantly more with those same players.

He might go that route, but he will handcuff that OC just like he’s doing Dawson. And not one top tier/serious OC will allow the Oline coach control run sets. Not one single real OC. I also think Mirabal needs to be questioned also. That’s his group, and is supposed to correct them.

This post is such bs . “ Biggest champion “? “talked the board into it”? You’re being dishonest with how you are portraying this but not surprising coming from you . Yes I said I was ok with the hire , yes I said we’d recruit better ,yes I said we’d get more buy in from donors , yes we’d be tougher in the trenches but I also said we’d lose 1-2 games a year leaving fans scratching their heads. On top of that I said he’s a subpar in game coach . Lastly I said we’d win 9-11 games a year with the occasional run once he got things going. I still think that’s what he is . But I can also be frustrated when he does the stupid **** I expect. Everything I posted here I said to nauseam, pre hire ,post hire and right up to the last week. I still don’t think he needs fired but he can be a huge bone head.
