Still excited about Simpson

As I have stated before, it is hard for me to hide my excitement/affinity towards the Jess Simpson hire.

One of my close friends, who lives in GA, reached out to me, regarding something that Rusty Mansell had to say about Jess Simpson. I am not going to list the site, because I don't want to give those idiots any recognition (and it's also public knowledge), but what Rusty had to say, was pretty interesting. Rusty Mansell, who is arguably the most connected person at 247sports, as it relates to high school football in the state of Georgia, had the following to say about Simpson. (THE below content was not taken from a a 247sports site)

"He was one of the most hated coaches in Georgia, and I will tell you why.....he kicked everybody's ***......He is very respected, yes he is, he's respected. He's going to be able to recruit Georgia, but that dude won like 8 championships in 10 years and he didn't pull the throttle up a lot of times, you know what I mean? He would let you know when you played Buford, I means, he would put his foot on your throat in front of your grandmother and finish you off. I mean, Buford was **** when he was there. But I would say this, when those coaches at Gwinnet County, all of those power houses up there, if Miami walks in there, and Jess Simpson walks in there, they will be able to send their kid there (Miami), if that is where they want to go. Jess is just going to have to walk in there with some Kleenex and some cookies for some of the *** whooping that he put on some of the people around the state of Georgia for many, many years"

He went on to say that, "Stacy Searels is the one that is very liked in the state of Georgia, very liked."

I have a few friends that coach in Gwinnett and other counties in the ATL metro area. It wasn't one of those fancy, spread you out with a wide open offense *** kicking either. His team was physical af, especially on the line. I can definitely see our DL getting much more physical in the upcoming year. Sometimes I thought RJ and Nort got a little too pretty with the moves, which lead to be out of place at times.

I don't want to be a homer, Simpson or otherwise, but I believe he is an upgrade over Coach Kool. The fire he will bring to the D-line, and to the recruiting trail, will be noticed.

Met OJ once when we played against his son (his son played for Gulliver). The largest noggin on planet Earth. I wouldn't be surprised if the only helmet that could fit that thing was one of those inflatable helmets the teams run out of at the Super Bowl. I had to catch myself from staring and saying, "You look like a gat**** bobble head" because....yanno....murderer...
