We are not stacked like bama but we have more than enough to win the coastal for sure especially with a more competent coaching staff .....If you consider Fsu to be stacked then you must also admit they have depth issues at at some positions as well, like some of those high end receivers and linebackers they brought in haven't done a **** thing.... Miami has a good base of talent, top 15-20 overall in the nation to be exact, it's all about coaching. You pair any elite coach with any of Miami's football teams since 2013 and they would have EASILY won over 10 games in each of those years.... Instead we had golden and co who were absolutely horrible and failed to eclipse over 10 wins with a roster that had over 10 upperclassmen make Active NFL rosters that next fall. That's not including the talent that will go to the NFL the next couple of years on the roster. Instead we had a losing record with all of that talent....

Btw this 4 star 5 star debate is pointless. Golden and his corches were horrible at talent development. Duke gets none of the caliber players we get, yet they beat us and win the coastal. Not only do we not develop players. We made them fat and worse. So no it's not about no **** 5 stars its about filling the roster with development players from So Fl and then after 2 years and a redshirt people wonder why kid was rated so low. Coach Kool knows what im talking about.

With HALF *** coaching we win 9 games last year. With good coaching that team wins 10 games. Now we are a more experienced team, older, more mature, and I'd be willing to bet better coached, but we should be expecting about the same results as last year? Tell me what I'm missing here.

It's not that Golden made them worse players. What Golden did wrong was use them in a way that made them terrible ineffective. Good coaching puts the players into a position to make plays. Golden put them in position to hopefully not make a mistake. That, of course, made the players LOOK bad. Good coaching fixes so many of our issues, and will make our 4-5 star talent LOOK like 4-5 star talent.

With the talent returning, upgrade in coaching, and better play calling on offense/change of scheme on defense, etc we better win more than we did last year. So anything worse than 9-3 is a disappointment. That could put us in the ACC championship and/or get us a good bowl game.

If we play in the ACCCG and a bowl game, I'd say 10-4, just a bowl game, 10-3. We have to get over that bowl game slump and finally win one

This. Teams like Michigan State recruit 2 and 3 stars and turn em into studs along with the occasional 4 and 5* they get. Gotta be able to develop players no matter there ranking.

Every coach down plays how good there team is before the season starts. This is a 9-3 at worse team... But if the team stays healthy, and Kaaya takes the next step, then we should be playing in the ACC championship.

You aren't missing anything. You have to do some crazy mental gymnastics to conclude that 10 wins is not possible/unlikely after considering our talent level and performance last year.

the roster leaves a lot to be desired...but we are on our way up... not saying we don't have talent

No it won't... In the last 5 years Miami has put a the 6th most players into the league 26 to be exact before this past draft and that's not including guys who have done well as undrafted free agents like shields, hurns, armbrister. Miami has lacked coaching more than anything we been had the talent... The NFL output even in our down years says it all
