Its about evaluations and getting the right 4 star recruits. Golden was horrible at evaluations and projecting what players could become.

You think 2013 Duke, 2014 GT, and 2015 UNC had more talented rosters than Miami does this season???

Each of those teams won the Coastal and played in a major bowl game in the last 3 years.

Miami can do that in 2016 with the roster we have.

The goal should be National championships...not the Coastal...

I think it's going to come down to philosophy. We lost a lot of
Games in the past because we were soft philosophically. If we got up two tds we'd go into protect the lead mode instead of trying to go up 4 tds.

Philosophy is why we were up 20 against fsu and they came back and won... because all the aggressive things we did to get up that many we stopped doing in the second half to try and limp to a win.. if richt keeps the hammer down in those situations I think that will go a long way to getting some Ws

First set our sites higher and maybe exceed expectations
Change the mindset of just the coastal

The coastal is something we should be winning almost every other year

It's almost like the coaches didn't trust the team not to make mistakes. It's a common problem. A lot of coaches lose, because instead of focusing on winning the game after getting a lead, too many coaches try not to lose it.

I'm convinced by all the poor-mouthing. I hope we can win 7 this year and compete for 3rd in the Coastal. The teams we play have much greater talent than us, and we'll be fortunate to win 7. 8 would be a minor miracle.

Other than FSU & Clemson which school has more 4 and 5 stars on the roster. They ARE talented, they were just not developed well in the past. Culture is EVERYTHING to the success of the Miami Hurricanes. IF they could train like the 01's & 02's it would be a wrap in 2 years.
