Miami was banged up, lost a starting safety in the first quarter and had another fighting injuries the entire game. There was a rivalry game with Norvell fighting for his job. It was in the rain and Miami still threw for 300 yards. The bye week slump is not over for Miami clearly, so a win is a win.

This is a game we lost last year. Sometimes you have to win even when you play poorly. Think IU vs Penn St last year. Us in 01 vs BC.

I think it’s okay to both have some concerns and also look how the rest of the top 10 went today and realize these are college kids who are inconsistent and anything can happen any weekend. THe portal allows you to plug holes, but also prevents overall roster depth construction. We could have used some of the players who departed, like Popo or Lowe.

Popo would have been great on passing downs. He had coverage LB speed. Watching Toure run 30 yards downfield, or sideline to sideline to cover the RB was killing me.
